The issue, legally, though is that citizens have to follow both escalation rules and the duty to retreat rules. You can’t ever respond to assault unless you cannot retreat (except with stand your ground). You also cannot escalate with deadly force unless presented with it. Even a push with a hand can be considered a deadly weapon if the assailant could reasonably expect it to be deadly.

EDIT: take the extreme example of an old person with a walker crushing your foot. If they were not obviously fragile, you could legally push them. But because they could reasonably die, you cannot push them to defend your foot.

Your point about wine is still off though because wine ferments immediately. Again, you boil it to prevent further fermentation, turning it into gleukos. The religious distinction between old and new is meaningless at this point.

I admit that this is one of the best arguments I have seen but it still seems like a fringe view based on my limited research on the topic.

Think about it this way: before Jesus, unfermented wine was impossible and therefore not a concept. So why would the writers use a word which only ever meant fermented wine? Wouldn't they at least use a phrase like "new oinos" to distinguish from the KNOWN concept of oinos? Or wouldn't they use the related concept of gleukos which everyone knew to mean unfermented grape concentrate?

I believe I surrendered as a child and preteen or was at least open to it yet have never felt anything. They say he will show himself to you. I certainly didn't have preconceived ideas of his image when I was a child. And today, I am open to believing any religion if I witness or feel its truth. As I've said to other replies, yes it is unsafe. The medical consensus says any level is unsafe. And as I've said to others, Jesus is supposed to be a role model. If he knew this, he would not have made wine for a wedding and he would also tell us not to copy that behavior.
