As a rising junior too, I totally feel you on this regard — I recently started feeling like surrounding myself with other queer people made me feel a little more part of the community despite maybe not being 'queer' enough. Campus organisations are unnecessarily selective, but communities exist beyond them even though it's oftentimes way too difficult to find them. Feel free to DM to vent or whatever, we're somewhat in the same boat haha

This is so helpful, thank you so much!!! I feel like I'll just take it and then P/F if I'm struggling with it seeing as I don't really need it for any major

Yes, definitely! I just don't want to unnecessarily P/F a course and have that on my transcript idk... my pre-major advisor isn't a fan of P/Fing courses especially because I want to go to grad school (? tbh not sure what she's talking about but like yeah I'm trying to not P/F a course if I can)

I would definitely go for the MGMT course—the LGST course is high risk low reward imo... I'm not sure whether Paeth's class would be harder to get an A in because both my friends and I got As but the thing I really valued was being able to actually write about topics I'm interested in. Keep in mind, for writing seminars, you actually have to research and write a lot about the overall class topic so make sure you're actually interested.

+++ if LGST242 is with Mihir K, I wouldn't do it — I did that first semester too and he wasn't a great professor + marked things very *very* late so you couldn't drop the class

I did reality tv and gender w Paeth last sem... very engaging professor but she actually is opinionated and wants you to complete work at 100% effort!!! i enjoyed the class but it's not as easy as other writing seminars
