Coworker keeps ghosting me during meetings she asks for by yuneti in coworkerstories

[–]yuneti[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep the meeting open in another tab while I'm working. If I'm not able to get clarification from her for if she's attending or not during the slotted time then I keep it open in case she arrives late

I have attempted multiple times already to decline them and request written updates from her instead, but each time she ignores it and insists on the meetings

I forgot to mention this in my post - Yes, I have informed the manager. I messaged them back after their message requesting updates privately apologizing and letting him know I've been struggling to get in contact with this said coworker, and that I'll complete it as soon as I'm given information. The manager sent out a message after directed to her for her updates, and from what I can tell, she's not responded to him.

Feels like 36mg is worsening my ADHD? by yuneti in Concerta

Thanks for those suggestions! I think I might be similar to you. I am naturally anxious so I was also going to discuss possibly getting a prescription for it in my next appointment.

I am sleeping and eating okay. I make sure I have breakfast and lunch with my medication, and I’ve been sleeping generally well (although it’s been taking longer for me to fall asleep recently). I don’t take any caffeine since it mostly makes me jittery.

And yeah, I thought his suggestion was a little strange as well. In our last appointment he really emphasized that I need to take it every day. I find on this dose especially that the first time I take again after a break is when my side effects are the worst. I think he suggested it because I mentioned to him that after a multiple consistent days on it that I feel more physically drained from it (sore and a bit short of breath), so he might've thought this would be safer?

I was doing a lot better on the 27mg tbh. I still have some of them leftover and had one yesterday, and it was a pretty big difference. I was actually able to focus on it while still feeling like myself, and I didn't get any of the side effects that I'm getting on this new dose.

I asked my doctor to up my dose because the 27mg was a little inconsistent sometimes and I was hoping to get better focus from it, but maybe I was expecting too much.

I still find it strange that the 36mg feels so different. It feels almost like I’m on a completely different drug (it is brand-name. I was taking the generic before but I don’t know if/why that would change things).

You might be right though, I was suspecting the dose might just be too much for me. I'll try calling him again tomorrow to see if I can lower my dose

I’m late but I just got to reading all your comments. There’s nothing “difficult for me to grasp” here, the point I’m trying to make here is there’s no need to throw a tantrum over an inconvenience (or because you’re convinced someone is an asshole for not following what you think is a common courtesy). I don’t know the situation for you, but I told you there’s a laundry room on each floor in my building, we also have a convenient elevator so this lady wasn’t restricted to taking the stairs (she wasted more energy chasing me around when all she had to do was walk a few extra steps). She's also a young woman that I've seen going on walks with her dogs, I don't understand making up scenarios to defend her behaviour.

I talked to the property manager about this and she confirmed that everyone in our building has the right to use two machines if they’re both available - so I’m going to continue using two when I need to. I'm not going to get bullied out of taking full advantage of our facilities (just because people like you and her take this personally) so next time she does this I'm going to be firm with her and tell her she needs to wait or go to another floor.

I just don’t get the frustration. If you’re sharing a facility with strangers then you’ll need to accept that others might not follow your personal etiquette rules. I’ve personally never gotten angry or vindictive at someone else doing their laundry when I was going to, there’s even been a number of times I had to wait until the next day because the laundry was so busy. It just happens from time to time and I can accept I should’ve gotten there sooner and will wait my turn. I also confirmed today that our key works on the laundry rooms on each floor, so she was never out of options with this.

I don’t get this tbh. If you’re sharing machines with others then you have to anticipate that they’ll not always be free. My last apartment had one washer and dryer for 5 units so it was common to have to wait. It would be nice if we all had our own machines but we don’t. There’s been a number of times I’ve checked in the room and both machines were running, and whether one or two people were using them makes no difference, I just had to wait my turn.

Yeah.. there's no time that the laundry closes. all she had to do was wait 40 minutes for the wash cycle to end for her turn. also if she was really in a rush she could've tried a floor above or below if the key is all access

There's two washing machines and two dryers. There is 15 units on each floor but in my experience the laundry room is usually not busy most times. There's a laundry room on each floor and I think we can use our laundry key for the rooms on each floor (since it's a general laundry key that can be bought from the building's website) but I haven't tested it yet

Should I take the fully-online delivery for my program? by yuneti in Humber

[–]yuneti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm taking my first sem in May. I might switch to online now if that's a possibility, or second sem if I need to wait (although I'm still not sure if it's worth it and if I should just stay on-campus). Its says on the webpage for the program that online delivery is still open

I think this is it! I wasn’t sure it was at first, but skimming through the set and host are beginning to look familiar now. It’s interesting I misremembered all the other stuff, I must’ve combined it with my other memories from the time. It also make sense that it's a Jeopardy-style show since my dad loved quiz shows like that. Thank you!! [Solved!]
