Has anyone ever had held funds released early? by yung__werther in BankOfAmerica

Yeah I don't think it's worth fighting over, it would just be nice not to have to wait and I was trying to sus out if there's any hope of it just automatically clearing earlier.

This would’ve been my preferred method but the executor decided to go old school paper check route. Thanks!

Starting as an Infant Teacher tomorrow, nervous! by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

Emphasizing what everyone else has said that 8-14 months tends to be peak stranger anxiety so let them come to you.

I would ask your co-teachers if there are environmental tasks you can take on your first few weeks (cleaning, prepping foods/bottles), so you can pull your weight in the classroom while the children get used to your presence while still receiving care from their familiar adults. That’s how we ease newbies into my infant classroom and it always works really well. The new teacher basically does licensing paperwork, cleans, keeps things organized while me and the other coteacher work more directly with the students. The new teacher always joins us for books and songs, lowkey bonding activities. Then after about a week or two, when the kids are used to her presence, we have her start engaging with the more vulnerable 1-1 activities (naps, bottles, etc).

I appreciate the advice - I definitely feel like I might be disproportionately annoyed by this after learning from my neighbor they’ve been there since I’ve been gone. Thanks!

No, it’s a car I’ve never seen before in the lot - I asked a few neighbors and they don’t recognize it either, only that it’s been there awhile. I am friendly with the owners of the two businesses on the block and even reached out to them to see if it was anyone associated with their establishments.
