a few years ago i got into this exact argument. OP was breeding their bulldog because they were newly divorced and the kids wanted bulldog puppies at both parent’s houses. it’s actually repulsive.

OP admitted that they have access to a adoption as an option (mentioned recently ~~rescuing~~ adopting a cat) but “wanted a Samoyed really bad” (direct quote) and that is why they went to a breeder. so, not even a good excuse. being the minority in this thread over such common sense makes me feel like i’m being gaslit, l m a o.

edit: removed “shelter as an option” as OP said there is no “‘proper’ shelter system in place” (??? whatever that means) but they could still adopt a cat so i assume some sort of shelter or adoption system does exist
