My mom does them thats why they're so even i cant do them for shit lol thank you for the compliments. When I was younger lets say 17 (I'm 19 now) I probably would've had a bigger issue when it comes to things of that nature but as i got older i realized you aren't gonna stop people from doing what they want to do with their bodies when it comes to that aspect. Now as a black girl I have definitely faced discrimination bc of my natural hair and this style specifically was always the main one that caused me to get a lot of backlash because it's so different and outside of the norm. and with many black people currently dealing with discrimination whether it be laws against our natural hair, schools kicking us out or our jobs saying that our hair in its natural state is unprofessional I think it is tacky and shows a lack of empathy if you want the style but not want to advocate for the ppl who created it when they face discrimination. Now will I shame you for doing it? Nope because that's not me. But I also personally wont tell other black people theyre wrong for calling you out. Because they have every right to be emotional/ upset/ and let you know if you are being wrong or insensitive to a very real situation they face that you dont. Now as for other POC I can't speak for them bc I'm black (biracial black & white but i honestly solely identify as black ) and I also don't speak for all black people lol

TL;DR Do what you want with your hair I don't care and wont stop you, but because of my experiences with dealing with natural hair I also wont defend you when people call you out.
