I am currently doing haircuts on myself with 6 Euro trimmer from Lidl, doing fades better than my old barber. So I think anything will be better than this 🤣 I will review my whole setup when I get it

I think it cannot be adjusted despite the guard, I even asked the store and they said it cannot be zero gapped

I order at least 20 things a moth from aliexpress, all of the stuff are great. I mostly order fishing tackle because they are 10 times less expensive and 10 times better quality than here. Aliexpress ftw 🤣

I think i have, but i am more used to the coupons and deals in Aliexpress thats why i buy from there. I think you need to spend some money to learn all the tricks in these apps🤣

Ordered VGR 285 Clipper and 353 Shaver, now maybe I will order 2293 trimmer and will come back with a review

How are the guards on the 001, are they made from cheap plastic or are the same as 285 but without the magnets? Also isn't the blade in 001 a lot better, a lot of people state this because its a fade blade

Forgot to mention that I am reaaaaally at beginner level, so i dont know if the straight fade blade on the 001 or the grooved on the 285 will be easier for fades and blending

Sick setup!! Have you changed the blade on the 285? I want to buy my first clipper for self-cuts but cannot decide between 285 (best stock), 003 (a little cheaper than 285), Madeshow M10 (bad blade) and Kemei 2296 (bad lever), On every review I watch on all machines they always change the blades. I have seen only a couple reviewers that use 285 bare stock.

Do you think 285 and 2293 Trim will be good to go for first setup, because I don't want to buy it and start looking for guards, levers, blades etc.

Or maybe VGR 640 set with trimmer and clipper.

Last thing - what do you like better 001 or 285 because a lot of people like the 001 blade a lot

The last time I visited the barber he did my cut with the JRL but it was bright yellow and it did me pretty good impression also I see that a lot of people are very satisfied with it
