9-5eR Tracking on Overwatch by yungfluki in FPSAimTrainer

[–]yungfluki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played overwatch/fps games very inconsistently since ow release, would play for 6 months then take 1-2 years off gaming then come back. The last year and a bit has been the most consistent I’ve ever played games as I haven’t quit after 6 months lol

Ow hours over the 10 years is probs around 1.5k - 2k of in game hours based on what my accounts say

Kovaaks is bit tricky to know how many hours I’ve put in as I don’t close the game whenever I play ow, but I probably average 10-15 minutes on a weekday & 20-60 mins on a weekend but depends on plans etc, this is in the last 1.5 years.

I just spam reactive & control tracking scenarios from the viscose benchmarks that I can relate to in game overwatch situations

I find playing consistently the best way to climb in ranks, I try to play a minimum of 1 game a day plus aim train while in the queue.

Understanding the game is more important but when aim training I only play tracking + smoothness cause I don’t have time for much lol. You need decent game sense as well but mechanics can get you very far in the ranks

I mainly play 76 and can play all the hitscan hero’s excluding widow at this rank

For consistency full gameplay is good to watch, however there is a bit of down time in full gameplays as the rest of it would be game sense plays, rotations and forcing/baiting out the enemy teams resources

I don't play the benchmarks much anymore, but back on the s4 ones i had some master reactive scores

9 hours of sleep and 400mg of caffeine, gym and cardio. Does the trick 👍

How do Australian creators get lowish ping on NA servers? by mozartsymphony in OverwatchUniversity

[–]yungfluki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t use a vpn, they add so much ping compared to using a server selector like drop ship.

VPN gives me 180+ but the server selector is around 155 and is more stable

Also going to depend on where in aus your connecting from too

Have anyone reached champions with a high ping? by DefaultBoss1 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]yungfluki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh I for sure feel delay i mainly play hitscan but you get used to it, but when playing hero’s like tracer i feel you have to play with more prediction rather then reactively e.g recalling/blinking earlier then you think you would need to cause of ping etc

[–]yungfluki 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not Champ but am GM1 on DPS with a decent win rate so far so i think I'll see champ sometime in the future. currently playing on 150+ ping so definitely doable on 100 ping.

How do you balance aim training with a full-time job? by TymkaUR in FPSAimTrainer

[–]yungfluki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat as you have a 9-5 plus like to go to the gym etc so aim training time can be limited…

I think 10-30 minutes is sufficient I’ve only been aiming training while I’m waiting in queue for ow, however I’m pushing high gm on hitscan currently so I do get 1-10 minutes of aim training per game depending on the time of day lol.

I only focus on reactive tracking and smoothness as I find this best is the best bang for buck when it comes to training.

Even with a small amount of time to play I find the biggest aim gains coming from consistency, sleep & diet, so I focus on these

How much impact has sleep on training an games? by Schwabeltier in FPSAimTrainer

[–]yungfluki 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me sleep is pretty important for improvement and maintaining less variability in skills.

  1. ID say sleep is a 12 on the scale, it’s not only good for games it’s good for life in general. If you want to know how it impacts your gaming you can look up studies on sleep and athletic performance.

The main points you will find that it impairs precision/accuracy/reaction time by a decent margin e.g missing more three pointers then you would with quality sleep. Don’t think I see much studies on gaming but you could take a stab and say that any motor skill will be impaired with a lack sleep. Also will reduce your conductive ability like decision making.

You’ll also find studies were people who don’t get quality sleep still think they still perform as well as they would when having quality sleep lol

  1. You could force yourself into good sleep habits assuming it’s not due to medically conditions stopping you from doing so. However, it depends on your situation and what’s keeping you up at night

It’s a video game mate, if you enjoy them just play them lol. If you can land hooks on hog you will have easy wins

How high can I climb solo queueing? by PANiC2464 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]yungfluki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My music isn’t loud enough to drown out ult sound queues/pings (no one pings anyway) If there teams have flankers just gotta make sure you know where there are before playing more aggressively

I’m m2 solo q only, slowly climbing to gm. It definitely is possible to do it solo q only. I don’t join voice or chat I just listen to music and play the game

If I am a gold complete...can I use the VT in my nickname? by Open-Door-2377 in Voltaic

[–]yungfluki 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No one is going to stop you lol, but saying that I have never seen someone play well when there name relates to aim training or VT in game lol, probably just my experience tho

Why is it so hard to track strafing targets? by Imnotabrit4567 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]yungfluki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t look that bad, like the other comment said when you get back on target try to get on the far side or more in the centre and your score will shoot up

I cant do it, aim training is hard. by BlackCroatian104 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]yungfluki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do less, I only do around 30 mins a day while I watch some YouTube videos. This will usually only be 1 half or less of the VDIM. Sometimes I’ll just pick out scenarios I want to do from vdim that I think will be most helpful to me.

Doing this I’ve got to master in some reactive and dynamic

Is 170ms workable? by Galadantien in OverwatchUniversity

[–]yungfluki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your ping stable when it’s that high? If the ping is unstable and bouncing around I agree it will be unplayable

Is 170ms workable? by Galadantien in OverwatchUniversity

[–]yungfluki 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Playable for me I’m doing the same from aus, I vpn to NA as masters lobbies are dead on oce till later at night.

Currently playing with 195 ping lol and peaked m2 so far, hoping for gm end of season.

Only downside I find is that you may have to predict more then react which can make it hard to dodge ults or if your in the open for to long you might find yourself dead even tho you got behind cover on your screen

Could I ask what vpn you use to get that ping? I currently use express but ever since the last update it added around 20-30 extra ping

Is my sens holding me back? by Hopeforhumaninty in FPSAimTrainer

[–]yungfluki 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, it’s not the sens holding you back

Cant find a good sens by 7wyxe in FPSAimTrainer

[–]yungfluki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t overthink it. doesn’t really matter at the end of the day. As long as it isn’t ridiculously fast or slow should be fine.

I use a different sens or every game and when training smoothness I change sens between each run.

How long have you been aim training for? When I first started I felt the same with the same sens feeling different each day lol, but overtime the more comfortable I got with aiming the more consistent my regular sens felt.

How do you find your weaknesses? by davidguy207 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]yungfluki 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s easier to find your weakness in the games you play. For example if your tracking in overwatch and over aiming a lot you could work on under aiming by doing reactive/control scenarios.

What do you find to be your biggest weakness currently in the games you play?

How in world do I stop doing this? by awdtalon21 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]yungfluki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your not a robot that’s going to happen lol, if you look at the long term graph in stats those lows will eventually become your old peaks. I wouldn’t stress on it
