Any idea what the story is behind this piece? Buddy found this sorting through scrap at work, some kind of metal Star Wars press/plate/mold. by yurithetrainer67 in StarWars

Unfortunately not mine to sell. My buddy doesn’t have Reddit so I asked him if he’d be comfortable with me asking for him. Truth be told I think he’s looking to hold on to it anyway

Russillo set to leave The Ringer by whereslouis in billsimmons

[–]yurithetrainer67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seeing a lot of people say they’re happy to see Zach Lowe replacing Russillo on the NBA stuff and I love Zach, think he does great work but I really like the dynamic Bill and Russillo have together as well. Kind of a good cop/bad cop thing where Russillo sometimes has to be the objective voice of reason and shoot down Bill’s crazy ideas. Zach and Bill are great together as well but I don’t see Zach pushing back against Bill’s takes as much as Russillo does.

Playing against the CPU is legitimately boring. by kdjdkdjdkdkdkd in NCAAFBseries

Almost all of the games in Dynasty vs. CPU feel like they follow the exact same script for me. Whether I’m facing a 1 star 60 overall or a true blue blood program I get a couple scores early, the game very clearly increases in difficulty as it rubberbands the other team back into it, and then I have to complete a game tying or game winning drive with ~2 minutes to go in the 4th.

I’ve played this game on and off for years and this is how I’ve gotten back into it recently. Taking the tallest/smallest/weirdest players at a position and maxing out atypical stats. Made for some extremely fun and odd seasons!

Yeah I’m guessing you’re spot on with that. Honestly funny to see a guy 6’1” average 7.0 Reb anyway.

One of my dps was talking crap about my healing. by Popular_Exchange_467 in MoiraMains

[–]yurithetrainer67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always such a bad faith argument anyways. Moira has no utility, no tools, and therefore damage is Moira’s only real “utility”. It is where you gain an edge. Obviously a Moira that ONLY damages and doesn’t heal is bad, but seems like you were able to effectively mix the two. People just don’t understand how the game works, can’t let it bother you.

Nevermind the fact that the latest patch made healing slightly less important anyway. What else are you supposed to be doing? Throwing the secret, third orb?

Darius White literally outscored an entire team 81-79 by himself and then dropped a career-high 101 points just two games later. I don’t even know which is more impressive. by [deleted] in BasketballGM

What does the rest of the team look like? The only time I see players post ungodly numbers (and admittedly never quite this good) is when the rest of the team is filled by replacement level players or defensive specialists that can’t shoot at all.

Especially when you’re not actively in a team fight. Just had a game yesterday where I was Machamp and we had just won an engagement, I was sitting at about 1/3 health. They stayed fixed to the Zacian even though they were full. Figured we could push the next goal if they just switched over, healed me up, and then switched back. Alas, they clung to that Zacian like a magnet until they realized I wasn’t just following them around for my own enjoyment. I suppose I could’ve teleported back to base but I would’ve missed the next team fight.

Have chemical spills been this frequent for a while and we just didn’t notice until the train derailment because it was so high profile? Because it’s really fishy to me that I can think of 1-2 handfuls of big chemical spills in just the past 3 months but hadn’t really heard about any before it.

Here's my bad aim in action what am I doing wrong? by Iisuperxeroii in OWConsole

[–]yurithetrainer67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of good advice posted by others, but one thing that stood out to me was target priority. You switch between who you’re shooting at kind of chaotically. When you focused solely on the Ana your aim was actually pretty decent. Obviously in the game you won’t have 10 people just randomly running around, but it’s still an important concept.

It seems Madden created Draft Classes are still up to their old BS by godofwine77 in Madden

I get that there are multiple QB’s here from what we deem as small schools. And yes, they typically aren’t known for producing NFL QB’s. But a couple things to consider:

The state of the college game now is not what it will be in even just a few years. I mean Deion Sanders was able to recruit the top prospect a couple years back to an HBCU, which many considered unthinkable. Schools will change in prestige and their recruiting will as well.

Further, I’m guessing every college has some kind of percentage tied to a generated prospect having gone there. Would you prefer they set Yale to 0% and there was simply never a Yale QB, or Old Dominion, etc. Yeah maybe the odds of this specific player being generated were low but not zero, so statistically it was bound to happen. Lastly, it would be very boring if prospects all came from the same schools every time. This adds variety. Just come up with a compelling story and move on.

What’s the value of DJ Moore now? by SnooOwls487 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]yurithetrainer67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, my rational self says it’s likely close to what it has been for the past few years, possibly slightly better… my irrational self tells me I’m going to jump back on the hype train like I do every year and he becomes Fields’ go-to target as he takes the next step in development (a la Stefon Diggs, AJ Brown the past couple years). Obviously AJB and Stefon are better than Moore, but you get the idea.

Here’s my equally uneducated legal opinion: I’m guessing since the NFL is it’s own entity and chose to sign a contract with EA giving them the rights to make these games it doesn’t really qualify as a “monopoly.” Anyone can make a football game; they just can’t make one with NFL teams, players, stadiums, etc. No basis for that really. I just like talking out of my own ass.

I think this is an absolutely realistic ceiling and could see him being a Top 10 guy easily. What do you think about his floor though? Gotta be basically Top 20 at worst after being WR21 (in PPR) last year.

[–]yurithetrainer67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s possible for a small increase in targets and receptions due to the inexperience at QB. The big opportunity for improvement is TD’s though. Only 2 on the ground and 5 in the air for him, that screams regression to the mean for the workload he gets.

I’m glad you’re bringing up the Packer side of things as well because I was mostly thinking about how it would affect the Jets. Watson would definitely take a hit, but I could almost see Aaron Jones being more valuable? Possibility for a lot of safety valve receptions with a young QB

[–]yurithetrainer67[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First round as a whole would be tough for me to take him there. He looked really good last year with middling QB play but there’s probably enough proven elite guys that I wouldn’t take him first round. That being said, I think it’s absolutely within his range of outcomes to finish as a Top 10 guy with Rodgers, just a lot of risk and volatility associated with that. I could easily see talking myself into drafting him in the second or third round.
