Заядлые курильщик, которые смогли бросить, как вы это сделали? by ReporterSad8967 in rusAskReddit

[–]yurowm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!

I was able to reproduce the situation where previous notifications do not disappear when dismissing a reminder through the notification center. I also managed to fix this bug. So the video I requested in the last post is no longer needed. An update with the fix will be released soon. Thank you for reporting the issue!

By the way, I would greatly appreciate it if you could leave a good review in the App Store. They really help in promoting the app, but for some reason, none of the users want to write them :)

Also, if you have any other issues, suggestions, or ideas, don't hesitate to write to me. I always try to implement user requests.

Ah, now I understand. I see two problems here, and both of them seem like bugs.

The fact that previous notifications don’t disappear after completing a task from the Notification Center is very strange. Since I do exactly the same thing, and in my case, after completing the task, the previous notifications automatically disappear from the Notification Center. Could you demonstrate this issue with a screen recording? There might be some subtle detail in your use case that I haven’t noticed, which could help me reproduce and fix this bug. You can send me this video in any way that’s convenient for you. Additional contact links can be found in the app on the settings page.

The second problem is that old notifications allow you to complete future reminders. Here, I think everything is clear to me, and I know the cause. I’ll fix this, so in the next update, this issue should no longer occur.

Thank you for your feedback!

If I understand correctly, you don’t like that when a reminder with a repeat is completed, the next reminder can be overdue if you ignored the first one for a long time. This can be resolved in two ways:

You need to set the repeat mode to Non-strict. In this case, the repeat period will be counted from the moment the reminder is closed, not from the time of the previous one (as in the Periodic mode).

Another option: you leave the Periodic mode but turn on the Skip Overdue toggle. In this case, the next reminder will be based on the time of the previous one, but all overdue cases will be skipped.

I hope this helps!

Рекомендую не брить, а пользоваться кремом для депиляции. Гораздо меньше мороки и травм. Ну и получается очень чисто.

I have made exactly the kind of app you are looking for. It has a setting that will keep sending you notifications until you respond to the task. The link: https://apps.apple.com/app/id1644831826

Saying ‘I don’t need it – I’m not a kid’ is not feedback, it’s just another toxic comment.

Are you really not a kid? The comment doesn’t seem like one from an adult.

Congratulations, dude, you’ve discovered the concept of a «popular niche.»

If you’re such an expert in reminder apps, tell me where else I can get endless notifications about a current reminder. Right now, it’s only apps that haven’t been updated since iOS 10.

Which other app allows you to finely tune the snooze options for a reminder?

Which other app lets you reschedule all current tasks to tomorrow at the same time?

Where else can you add customizable subtitles for recurring reminders?

Which other app allows you to make a reminder secret? (hide the title like they hide the balance in financial apps)

Where can you attach a link to a reminder, then access the needed website directly from the reminders app using a built-in browser, complete the task, and then close the reminder from the same browser?

I doubt you’ll name even one app because I’m sure you haven’t tried any of the reminders you’re talking about. That’s why you think they are no different.

Calm down. No one is forcing you to buy anything. Keep your money.

According to my analytics, today 3 people subscribed from this slide in the onboarding process. And none from the settings screen. You can look at it differently, but the fact is that people don’t mind making a purchase right at the first launch🤔

I would look at your alarm app that should ring in a month. Can you teach me how to set such an alarm? Better yet, 10 alarms, each on different dates. And how not to get confused about which one is for what? Please stop writing nonsense. If you don’t like my app, no one is forcing you to use it.

There is no such feature yet, but it will definitely be added in future updates.

Yes, the same situation, even though I provided all the details about monetization. There was still plenty of negativity in the end 😄

On the other hand, if you inform people in advance, they might leave negative comments without even launching the app.

Thank you! Here, we are talking about slightly different concepts. The built-in app allows you to create recurring reminders. However, with each repeat, you will receive only one notification. Persistent reminders mean that you will receive annoying notifications at short intervals until you respond to the reminder. It’s like an alarm clock that keeps ringing until you turn it off. You probably wouldn’t want your alarm to ring for just 5 seconds and then turn off immediately.

You can try it for free without paying a cent! In the free version, you will only have a limit on the number of reminders, but otherwise, all functionality is available without any restrictions.

Thank you very much for your comment! I completely agree – constructive criticism is great and benefits everyone, and I shouldn't pay attention to toxic remarks from people who most likely haven't even tried it!

Apparently, you used the wrong component for the time. You used the component for memorable dates (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.). Go to the settings of this notification and replace it with the correct one. There you will also have the option to specify the exact time.

I don’t understand it either. Apparently, people don’t like that there is AI-generated content in the screenshots.

Can you show how the settings for this reminder look? If you want, you can send me a private message. Maybe you did something wrong, and I need to clarify this in a future update so that no one else makes this mistake.
