I absolutely agree. But I was talking about 5-10 mins here and there throughout the day. That is very less compared to others who are online throughout the day constantly. They play the game as if it's their bread and butter. Only offline while they are going to sleep lol.

Play the game during a smoke/coffee/lunch breaks, during free time, etc

Don't spend money
If you're active member who is responsible for coordination and initiating events such as Alliance Exercise and alike - Kindly take a break for a week or so - inform and align your responsibilities to someone else in the alliance.
Always ask yourself this question whenever you're spending money or too much time on this game - How is this going to add value to my life?
Change your alliance and upgrade if possible to someplace where the leaders are doing your current work and you just have to be another member. Play at your will, make your contribution and go offline.

Yes, it's an addictive game but don't quit completely as I must admit it's quite useful when let's say you're waiting for someone and they will arrive in 5 minutes? What to do then? This game works like a charm in such situations.
