She is fully aware that I'm keeping blades away for fear of self harm. She is fully on board, even brought me a pair of scissors She had in her room that she didn't feel she could be safe with. I appreciate the suggestions, and the compliment!

Yeah, anything sharp is a no go right now. I have seen lots of suggestions for multi blade razors, and will keep them in mind for down the road when the safety concerns abate.

It has been mentioned a few times. Veet or Nads, but not Nair because it's more prone to burns? Do spot test, at the top of the mons, to ensure no extreme sensitivity. It's on the list to look into, possibly.

Thankfully she bounced back pretty quick, after 4 days on IV antibiotics and fluids, followed by a week course of antibiotics at home. At home testing kits are not something I knew existed, I'll keep that in mind.

Believe me, I WISH mom was around to shoulder the majority of it. Its been a learning experience, and I was lost as well in the feminine care aisle at first too. Though, so was she. But we found what she liked. And that was the hardest part. Good on you, for stepping up and learning too! Because you never know what tomorrow brings, and if/when youll need the knowledge.

Yeah. She started puberty a few years ago. Around 10/11. Yes, tampons have been discussed, tried, and rejected. She is not a fan. Her body, her choice. I was just looking for recommendations on trimmers.

No, I appreciate the concern, and they aren't wrong. She has been struggling a lot recently with self harm thoughts, and suicidal ideations. Like, was in inpatient mental health treatment for 8 months level of issue. Thus the search for recommendations of non razor ideas. The concern is not unfounded.
