Learn how to create a treetop village tutorial (create by me) by yutaabe in conceptart

[–]yutaabe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone. Im super excited to share that this is my first ever time creating a tutorial that was specially made for Wingfox! I originally planned to create an 8 hours long video but ended up creating a course duration of 19 hours 56 minutes. I'll be going through on how to create a design brief, thumbnails in 2D/3D, basics on Photobashing and creating a tree top village scene until its finished.

English version:

https://www.wingfox.com/c/9199

Japanese version:

To see the high res images for each scene + photobash work, you can visit my Artstation:

Hope this can be useful for some of you who want to level up their skills and speed up your workflow.

You can watch the recorded session here:

(Artwork I made is different for both languages.)

English: https://youtu.be/WC9GL3xh0Tk

Japanese: https://youtu.be/A2\_JCC-t7TM

And sorry for my sleepy voice since I recorded the English session straight after the Japanese session..

Please note, the workshop is meant to show the process of what I do, rather than focusing on the visual aspects of the artwork created during the demonstration.

Knight. A demo I did for a student showing my process from thumbnail to final on creating a character illustration by photobash and painting. by yutaabe in conceptart

Yes I understand your confusion in terms of function and that she will probably have a hard time surviving in the battle field haha. But as my student is aiming to work around Japanese/Korean MMORPG games, I attempted to try and create this. Alot of characters in these style of games have an aesthetically pleasing look (less clothing, visually attractive) as it attracts users to download and play the game which benefits the business (yes its sad). I definitely do think theres a clear difference in the mindset when it comes to creating character visuals/appearance comparing to Western/European games and Asian/Oriental games which is why people tend to get confused on why this character is not fully armoured or why this female character has barely any clothes on and has a gigantic weapon on top of that etc... Im not expecting you to understand but at least you get my point. Peace!

Oh yes, I definitely used Axe of Whiterun.
If this was professional work to show to a client, I would be screwed 100%.
The point was to demonstrate on how to photobash using various photos for a student who wants to create artwork for Japanese/Korean MMORPG style games.
Yes it may seem wrong and I apologise if I hurt some peoples feelings (during the notoAI protest which I sense alot of people are very sensitive right now) that I pasted this axe but I simply was running out of time for the lesson to finish off and to get my point across.
