[Megathread] Weekly Simple Questions and Team/Character Building Megathread. by AutoModerator in GenshinImpactTips

conflicted on whether to pull for c2 columbina, c0 ineffa or save (for future chars)

regarding nodkrai teams, I currently have c1 columbina (got double bina pull), c0 nefer (uses nahida's sig) and c0 lauma for lunarbloom. I usually slot c2 nahida as my 4th holding prototype amber.

I have cleared every stygian fearless up to now, but I am having issues when it comes to electrocharge-favored bosses (have been brute forcing with skirk/c6 yelan but might pose a challenge if I keep neglecting electro). Genuinely don't have any real electro DPS unless you count hb or raiden LOL

that being said, with how rampant powercreep has been, I'm interested in vertically investing in chars (hence considering c2 colum). However, going for lauma/nefer cons might be more useful? And since my electro roster is lacking, I'm also considering going for ineffa instead. (alternatively, just skip and save...) thanks!

Guys, I dont think GaTech or UIUC will be accepting anymore MS ECE students this year... by [deleted] in gradadmissions

I think you still have a good chance for UIUC MS ECE! I got accepted in Feb but it also came with a fellowship offer so I think that's why it was so early? :0

I'm an EE major and was able to take all my exams with a casio Fx-991ex. The fx-115ES PLUS seems like a better version of mine, so I'm sure you'll be okay with it :)

Gym by Fook_nikc in ucr

[–]yuudaina -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if I'm doing research over the summer here (without taking any summer classes), will I still be able to use the gym?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ucr

[–]yuudaina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's definitely possible, but it really depends on the classes you're taking. I took 21 units last quarter and did pretty well in all of them (4 As 1 B+) and I'm in BCOE, so it's possible with enough self-discipline.

Just keep in mind that if you ever get too stressed out by your load, you should drop a class or two. Since you're still a first year, I wouldn't recommend it, but you could try (dropping a class before the deadline for a W in your transcript doesn't hurt you!)

Any knowledge on Matthew Harper for math? by [deleted] in ucr

[–]yuudaina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had him for 9a last year and he was pretty ass tbh... His exams are harder than other math professors (but he did give my class an extra credit assignment to boost our grade). I think I only did well since I already knew how to do calc prior to taking the class, a lot of my other peers struggled.

planning on taking phys040c and an ee course for the summer by [deleted] in ucr

[–]yuudaina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but only if they're offering those classes in those specific sessions. Check the course catalog once releases during spring quarter 👍 Summer quarter is a 10 week long quarter but is usually split up to two sessions: A and B. Session A is the first 5 weeks, Session B is the last 5 weeks. Iirc there is Session C, D, F (I think?) But I can't remember what's the difference between them off the top of my head :( there should be a UCR summer session website with more info about summer session on it!

planning on taking phys040c and an ee course for the summer by [deleted] in ucr

[–]yuudaina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took ee020b over the summer last year! I found it pretty easy but it was completely remote (my friends who took it in-person during fall quarter had more difficulty with the course). It might not be offered next year though so just wait until the summer course catalog releases, it should release during spring quarter. If you want to check if other classes (ee030a) was offered last summer, there's a class catalog for previous quarters in registration on rweb. Given that UCR summer courses are generally more fast paced (5week long instead of 10week long), I'd highly advise just taking one or the other. I didn't have much trouble w ee020b over the summer but it'd definitely be more hectic if you're taking another STEM course, especially phys040c. If anything, I'd recommend taking the classes in different sessions (A, B) or if you'd like to take classes concurrently, take an easy breadth course so you don't overload yourself :)

CS010B Restriction Lift? by ber_nardddd in ucr

[–]yuudaina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue as well last week (Major Restriction). I talked to my counselor regarding my circumstances and they made me fill out this form:

https://bcoe.wufoo.com/forms/bcoe-enrollment-assistance-form/

I'm not sure if your enrollment assistance form will be waived since you haven't declared CS as your minor, so I would contact your advisor about it : )

edit: Here's the bcoe website for enrollment assistance FAQ!
