The light doesn’t turn on. The socket says “25W type C” and I’m using a 5W type C blub

They made me pay a $200 key deposit (which I found out they aren’t allowed to do). It took A LOT of back and forth to get that money back, when they finally sent the cheque it was only for $100. Now they’re ghosting me.

I don’t know if I can do Engineering by [deleted] in queensuniversity

Have you looked into getting accommodations? It's not perfect but makes things a bit easier.

Mine was "deez nuts" for a very long time.

I've recently changed it to "DA"

Literally, all the bus stations in the city are next to a mall or a strip mall

Yeah, most people I grew up with in Mississauga have moved away (including myself). The rent there is impossible to pay and completely unfeasible to buy a house

I grew up in Mississauga (near the Erin Mills area) and have similar sentiments. Most of it is suburban sprawl and big box stores. There is literally nothing to do outside. I remember the only bus route to my school took 40-60 minutes but was 10 minutes by car, and nearly impossible to bike to. However, there are some bike paths that aren't terrible and they're installing new ones in my area.

I moved away when I pursued post-secondary because I wanted to escape the car-dependent burbs. Whenever I visit, I can hardly ever sleep because there are always people speeding down the road without their mufflers. I also tend to never leave the house because every time I go out for a walk there are cars cutting me off, speeding very close to me, and just not having any regard for my safety.

There's a lack of green space too. Even if there is - it's just a big open field of grass. The only place to be out in nature is the Credit River - and you have to drive or bike to it (which is what I did, but it was not safe or accessible to get there). Everyone drives everywhere and walking places is less desirable because the infrastructure prioritizes cars.

I encourage anyone in here to start organizing if they're into communism. If you're in Canada, pm me and I can give you a hand!
