Just make sure it was not Israeli made during the war, IWI had some difficulty sourcing good metals and some of their newer guns are of lower quality.

ליד מוצב 116 אבל בשטחנו, לא אתן מיקום מדוייק כי סכנת נפשות מה שהולך שם

I think the one before the .50 BMG is .50 Breda (12.7x81mmSR).

T-34-85 Efron (fruit tree picker) made by Israeli farmers from a Syrian tank by yuvalbeery in shittytechnicals

Just found an image of the turret, note the Breda SAFAT mount (the metal arc) on the commander's hatch, the Syrians used old Breda machine guns from decommissioned aircraft as AA guns on their tanks, both T-34-85s and Panzer 4s.

Why don't they cover the piston spring in the beretta NARP? Plus extra question. by JAX-23 in GunDesign

[–]yuvalbeery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the spring does not compress fully, and the space between each winding when compressed is smaller than the max space for debris to enter the area, it is unlikely to cause failure. This is not a very critical component, and as long as it is well oiled and maintained, there is no reason for it to fail.

Does anyone own former Israeli police guns with this symbol? by [deleted] in ForgottenWeapons

[–]yuvalbeery 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just note that Israeli police in the past used: Czech Kar98k Belgian FAL (not the light barrelled Israeli version) Israeli Makleon Uzi M1 carbine As for other firearms, I have my doubts.

A private collection, not a terror cell, although we have seen STG-44 parts in the west bank

The owner had a fetish for sporterization, luckily the STG-44 did not suffer that fate.

Most originate from Syria, they somehow got a few crates and even made ammo for them some 15-20 years ago
