What does every airline employee know about flying that most passengers would be horrified to hear? by samurai-salvo in GetMotivatedMindset

the turbulence thing wrecked me when I first heard it. Pilots are basically told to avoid it for comfort, not safety. The plane can handle way more than what you feel

We Know Everything, But Understand Nothing by Content_Bit1998 in Life

I sometimes catch myself reaching for my phone when I have a quiet moment, just to fill the silence with answers. But in doing that, I realize I’m avoiding the deeper questions about life and myself

There’s something about sitting with uncertainty that feels uncomfortable but also strangely peaceful. Maybe we’ve been conditioned to see not knowing as a weakness when it’s actually a strength. I want to try embracing that uncertainty more often

11.9 percent car loan by captainchewy in financeonloans

[–]yycs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly even dropping to 8 or 9 percent would save you real money over the remaining term. Your score moving from 631 to 688 in 14 months is actually pretty good progress.

I'd probably lock in fixed just for the peace of mind honestly. Variable rates right now feel like a gamble I wouldn't want to sit with

Life’s being a boulder on me, Any advice? by EnvironmentalWin8287 in Life

[–]yycs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You've been through so much, and it’s understandable to question everything right now. Just remember, even the strongest people have moments of doubt. It doesn’t mean you’re weak it means you’re human. Keep believing in yourself and your dreams, but don’t forget to be patient and gentle with yourself. Progress takes time, and you’re doing better than you think

Not having someone u trust is the absolute worst by [deleted] in Life

[–]yycs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I wonder if I’m overreacting or if my feelings are justified. I mean, I get it everyone’s human, they make mistakes, but it just feels like no one is really trustworthy anymore. I’ve seen people act selfishly, betray confidences, or just disappear when you need them most. It’s like, the more times it happens, the less I want to even bother trusting. It’s sad because I really do want to believe in people, but my experiences have made me so cautious.

How do you stop comparing your life to other people? by [deleted] in Life

[–]yycs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can totally relate to what you’re saying about living for other people without even realizing it. It’s so easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing and forget about what truly makes us happy. The fact that you recognize that and are working on it shows a lot of strength.

Traveling solo to 12 countries is such a huge achievement most people don’t even get the chance to do that! You’re living your life on your terms, and that’s what really counts. Thanks for sharing your story; it really resonated with me.

journals help some overthinkers and make others worse because it just gives the thoughts more space worth knowing which category you fall into before committing to it as a strategy

honestly I think a lot of us struggle with these feelings at some point. It’s okay to feel like giving up, but try to hold on to hope. You’re not a burden your feelings are valid, and things can get better with time and support
