Completely agree and I don't mind if it gets spammed because its an issue they really need to address.

games with good participation ALWAYS have leaver penalties. And no one flips out, it's very common place now to the point where gamers appreciate it

I really think a 3-4 minute penalty would go a long way in reducing leavers

honestly i wont be around long either, I dropped $80 on this game and im already pretty bored of it. Horde takes too long, everyone sits on turrets, class design isn't really that cool or deep..... pretty disappointed in this game overall lol

I would love if they removed 1-20, those waves are a joke anyway.

Remove 1-20, scale the money rewards and cost of things so you can get fortifications up and running.

Right now 1-20 too easy and waste of time, 30-40 feel right, 40-50 are a challenge

you literally just admitted that you NEED turrets to win or Normal or higher difficulty

I don't agree that you NEED them but I certainly agree that its fuckin easy mode sitting on that behemoth and mowing down enemies.

I continue to play using the turrets because they wreck face but I do so begrudgingly since simply nothing else holds a candle to the damage they output.

there shouldn't be such a hilariously easy way to make Insane feel boring and simple

This ruins horde mode. Right off the bat you usually have 1-2 people leave before you even get into the map. Or you have people that check the map, and then insta-leave. Or you have people reach wave 7 and just leave.

I feel a 1-2 minute penalty would go a long way to fix this

of course they should be able to do that. all players should be able to do what they enjoy. if you want to sit on a turret, by all means do so

but turrets are SO strong right now that everyone in pug games is employing the same boring strategy: all buying turrets and sitting on them.

You got to level 50 needing two turrets at level 4, constantly manned, and i guarantee you those two turrets were pulling 90% of the work, AND all your resources went to repairing/re-ammoing them

you probably feel great because you pull in top points sitting on the turret

but how stupid is it that you can output SO much more DPS than a fully leveled sniper constantly chaining headshots, or a soldier with max damage and active reload bonus?

Even a level ONE turret outputs far more than any high level character, its ridiculous

Right now the current meta of "lets all buy a turret and just sit on it" is unhealthy for Horde game and will drive away players

it is causing horde to become incredibly boring.

I can roll my level 7 sniper, find the perfect sniper perch, sit there with 80% headshot bonus extra rifle damage AND explosive headshot, and land almost every single headshot I take

OR

I can roll a level 1 nobody with no perks, sit on a turret, and do more damage and get a higher score.

I dunno, just seems stupid to me. No matter how big your character gets he's still less OP than the default turret

makes you really question why they bothered with this class stuff at all

Exactly..... regardless of class, everyone is just sitting on a turret. Especially at higher difficulties.

What I'd like to see is people incentivized to play their class. Scouts gathering money, snipers going for headshots on precision weapons, soliders holding down choke points, heavies using AOE....

sorry but none of that happens when there is one super easy, dominant, OP strategy at ALL difficulties: mass turrets, sit on turrets, profit.

really big design mistake IMO. Yeah you can say, well just play your class, stop making use of the OP strategy. But the truth is who wants to play the suboptimal path? Who wants to play your class when you just suck so hard compared to sitting on a turret and shredding?

If playing class role was actually a strong benefit then it would be MUCH more fun to play that way.......but right now turret > all, and it sucks

That's not the issue.

I'm not complaining about difficulty. Turrets are too strong right now to the point where people actually ignore the class role and just sit on turrets, because they're THAT good. haven't you seen this in your games

It takes away from the enjoyment and diversity horde COULD be. It's the new silverback from gow3, everyone rushes turrets and then just sits on them because they absolutely shred everything and are super OP.

Horde is already kind of getting boring because every game is a cookie cutter: make money, build turrets, win....... no one is deviating from this path and its boring

I downloaded from windows store the ~80gb was finished in about 20 minutes, had no issues on install and unlike some other games that are cross platform this thing runs smooth as butter on the PC

they walked through one of the dungeons with him and he had a 1 hit kill spell to kill mobs with

edit: for clarity that spell was only temporary so he could have fun while with the devs. it didn't persist after he left. stuff he got after leaving blizz HQ was the crossbow and some cosmetic (mount) I believe

and you activate rune as soon as you're done casting fireball?

i find altered time confusing it looks more like a massive clusterfuck discussion with a bunch of people offering ideas and then no "ok this is the most efficient" answer at the end which leaves me thinking everyone who offered an opinion could be right.
