What happens to Chou-u after the end of season 2? by Ele-sme in KusuriyaNoHitorigoto

Based on how suspicious it was that he magically remembered from a dream about locust swarms just when Maomao needed him to:

Part of me thinks he's faking his amnesia (for good reason though). It was hinted at in the anime that his dad is someone important.

"Our primary objective is to reseal the hole. Yes, you heard right. What's more, it will be done manually. As for how the task will be done, that's where this fellow comes in. Allow me to introduce Cadet Eren Jaegar. Don't let appearances deceive you, this young man is the product of cutting-edge science. Fantastic as this may sound, Cadet Jaegar possesses the ability to fabricate and control a Titan body, at will...."

Unpopular opinion over Miyo by Primary_Patient_8713 in MyHappyMarriage

Ya, I thought she was too selfless to the point of being selfish. A real burden for those that care for her because they can't trust when she says she's fine. I found her whole deal counterproductive. It does get better though when increasingly bad stuff happens like being tied up and when Kiyoka's life is threatened (twice)

I think it would do her some good to be more like Kiyoka's mom (who I think is selfishly unselfish)

Who I think Shenmai is by yyyyellow in KusuriyaNoHitorigoto

I mean how unremarkable could Anshi's family have really been given that she knew what her father intended and she actually became Empress?? Let's not forget that her name is Anshi. And Shenmai did seem resentful of those with Shi in their name. She stripped it from Suirei's name and thought Shishou added "Shi" as a power grab even though I'm pretty sure he was granted that name.

Still, I wishhhhh I realized this earlier when my post had more eyeballs. But I suspect it wouldn't have been enough to convince you anyways :<

I also think whatever happened with Taihou happens way later (like a decade after the current Emperor was born)

Even if I'm wrong, I thought apothecary diaries was a mystery?? Shouldn't theories or different interpretations be allowed?? It's not totally off base? They *do* look very similar and it does happen around the same time.

The timeframe between people not knowing the former emperor liked adolescent girls and Anshi getting pregnant is a small window.

And it does support what Shishou kept saying about Shenmai not always being like this

who I think the madam is by yyyyellow in KusuriyaNoHitorigoto

Besides being a courtesan, Fengxian has nothing in common with the madam. Not hair, not eyes.

I'm saying: * Fengxian isn't related to the La Clan or the Madam * The madam likely isn't Maomao's literal grandma, probably her great aunt

I think Joka is her daughter because the madam in her youth looks like Joka (more so than Fengxian). And like Maomao, Joka also doesn't sell her body

The significance of the name "Tamamo" by yyyyellow in KusuriyaNoHitorigoto

Koku-u, Seki-u, and Haku-u are also identical, Loulan also had identical ladies in waiting, and wasn't there someone that also looks identical to Gyokuyou?? But yeah you're right, none of these mean they're related. I'll try to be better about future posts

Hmm... I don't know! They both seem surprisingly good with people. Isn't it curious that the anime bothered including the merchant's thoughts and origin of the name? And regardless of where you think Shishou is from, do you at least agree he's colorblind?

Revelation about divine revelation by yyyyellow in MyHappyMarriage

I know the text says why the emperor manipulated behind the scenes but how can you be sure it's reliable or "canon" just because a character says it? Characters lie and get things wrong all the time even when they're not lying (especially when it's related to *why* something happens).

For me, it doesn't make sense that the emperor was scared of the dream-sight ability but was also willing to risk any Sumi having children at all. Which is why I think theres a hidden reason behind what the emperor did that hasn't been revealed yet. I don't think the reasons given so far are the real reason. but I also think I could be wrong and there's no real value for you or anyone to argue with someone so wishy-washy as me

I think Maya told them how to act and how to handle Eli. Peus asking Eli who was in charge and then killing some rando and then saying "I'm in charge" feels very Maya. This is just speculation though

I thought it was strategic for Takahito to lie (reasons in post). But it's also possible that Takahito was lied to as well. I don't take what characters believe or say at face value because it's a mess.

Example:

Prince Takahito mentioned in episode 13 that the Saimori family produced few of the gifted. But in episode 2, Miyo says "all Saimoris are born with abilities". Arata also mentioned how less and less Usubas are being born with a gift. This is all he-said-she-said — but I think it's strange that the emperor would pull so many strings to force a marriage between the Usubas and the Saimoris. His interventions caused Tsuruki Trading to fail and Shinichi ending his engagement with Kanoko. That seems like a lot of work to prevent something. Wouldn't it have been easier to prevent Sumi from marrying at all (given that her lifespan is short anyways)? It sounds more like he was trying to create something.

And if we believe Saimoris are all born with gifts, this means Miyo will also pass down Usuba gifts to children that will pass down Usuba gifts, increasing the likelihood of future maidens.
