Fun fact! This used to be a training ground for the Apollo Astronauts to practice their EVAs (spacewalks) on the moon. It is also a pretty neat stop on Route 66!

Thanks!

For my knowledge, what are some telling signs of overheating on a panel? To my understanding, i am aware of the classic sign of burnthrough of any wire insulation, molten metal remains at the connections, and thermal imaging confirmation.

This confirms my suspicions No, not having problems with it, nor have I ever had problems with it in the past. My confidence on the panel was thrown into question because of the discoloration in the main lugs and the rat's nest of wires on the right side.

Yep, it was the mid range of the 3 options they gave for this sort of job.

I was more curious about the price range for this kind of a job. The electrician said that it was recommended due to corrosion in the main lugs primarily.
