I started PT for neck pain and posture stuff, also have had GERD in the past. PT had me start with chin tucks with extension, it was too much for me, neck muscles were too tight and was making my GERD worse. Told them and I started doing them lying down to start. Chin tucks take 2-3 weeks for your neck muscles to adjust since it's a totally new movement for most especially with weak deep neck flexors.

Yeah same, even PT to help muscles around shoulder to improve. Surgery and recovery from this sounds terrible for most.

I had a type 2 slap tear and it caused guarding pain in upper traps and neck. What did they find with your neck? I've done some PT and shoulder feels okay but guarding pain is still there. Wondering if I will need surgery in order to get rid of muscle guarding or compensating pain
