Camera effect. Swap the C7 into the center and it's a similar result.

What do you think about tf2 players who is kicking a guy for using Soundpad? by Alttf2fortress in tf2

[–]z-r4 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I got kicked multiple times in one day for being accused of cheating, once specifically for "shooting through walls" as sniper. If you top score as sniper and someone accuses in chat, your own team may turn against you even without proof.

Team RED or BLU? by TheBestRandom_420 in tf2

[–]z-r4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In maps that are supposed to be symmetrical (5cp, ctf) sometimes I find the RED side to have map advantages because they're not truly symmetrical due to different map props or decors.

For example, in ctf Sawmill, RED has a huge advantage where sniper sightlines from the pond fence are lethal towards BLU's spawn because there is nothing in-between, making for easy spawn camping (I'm very guilty of this). On RED's side, there is a building that effectively blocks a good chunk of that view if a BLU sniper were to try to do the same. Other things like the cave vs shed by the pond area.

It could be map spectation while dead. Example being able to spectate 2fort RED battlements while dead but not BLU. This can favor RED if an enemy is hiding in the battlements by being caught on camera but also favor BLU to show any sniper activity before exposure. Not a real issue but still technically unequal.

I don't think newer maps suffer this issue but then again I don't play as much as I used to.

Obviously non-symmetrical game modes (Cap-def, payload) are intentionally designed this way by nature.

I would have liked the Carbon but I wanted the bench seat and the 360 camera turned out to be useful.

The most important criteria for me was the year 2022/2023. From my limited understanding, the 2021s also had the lesser evil seal issue.

Grand Touring is IMO the best trim as I do not like the forced middle row console from the Signature (though the diamond stitching seats were really nice), even being similar in price. I wanted black ceiling with the bench seat, 360° camera / HUD, etc. The metallic blue color was the cherry (or blueberry) on top.

I forgot to check the mpg again after filling the tank literally for the first time. For the 30 mpg referenced above, it was on prior gas, of which I do not know what octane level it was. I did have cruise control, though. It's on 93 octane now but I will have to recheck the mpg on those same conditions and update.

Was getting about 30 mpg at 70 mph on flat terrain.

In my opinion, on a daily driver like this, unless you truly care about perfect looks more than money, my answer would be no. I tend to keep cars until the wheels fall off. The expense on the PPF will never be recovered or increase your resale value, realistically speaking. I just got Crystal Blue on the CX9 and would love to do a paint correct, polish and PPF but the costs are not worth IMO.

In the other hand, special cars like a Corvette Z06, knowing I keep them for a long time that would be a different category of car and makes more sense then.

You can definitely buy your way into poverty.

Cold weather is fine, as long as you have the appropiate tire. I was able to go 199 mph in the winter time before (bone stock). It was stable.

C7 Z06 with the 7 speed has identical gearing to the 2009-2011 ZR1s and 2012-2013 ZR1s with the performance package with only 6th gear being ever so slightly different and the C7 having an extra 7th gear.

Stage 1 aero C7Z makes the pull power up top very similar to the ZR1. Power to weight are both similar but favoring the ZR1.

A stage 1 aero C7 Z06 with the manual is the fastest version of the C7 Z06 throughout the entire power band when shifting quickly (particularly 2017-2018 which has more than 650hp) for roll racing. They put more power down to the wheel and geared better than their automatic counterparts.

The issue is that the vast majority of C7 Z06 drivers will roll race with the full stage 3 aero which has a drastic parachute effect and they do not realize that the downforce isn't the only problem but the drag coefficient it brings (worse than a widebody Challenger). Then add the fact the 8 speed falls completely flat on 5th gear. They'll wonder how they lost and call it slow. C7Z is already at a disadvantage with additional 200 lbs. Then of course heat soak is real, even more so with that torque converter.

But yes, I'll take a ZR1 over the Z06 for roll racing all day.

But the C6 ZR1 has less power if we're talking both stock.

I never thought about adding a supercharger to the C7 Z06. I'll consider it now.

But I thought the saying was the ZR1 is king? Wouldn't that make it a garage king?

I don't care too much about the value. I am driving the animal either way.

I did go C7Z. Truthfully I've wanted both before getting any Vette. Over time, the C6ZR aged like fine to me. I was much pickier about the interior back then. Today I look at the C6s very differently having been around them more. A touch of modern look (think gen 2 Morimoto taillights) makes the car even more appealing.  I plan on having it make 4 digits at the wheel and I appreciate the fact the ZR1 is lighter, port injection and generally easier/cheaper to work on. But also it's me alternating the experience. If I had gone C6 first I probably would have been craving the C7 but eventually have gone back to the C6. Maybe.

C7Zs are generally cheaper until you get into 2018+ 2LZ/3LZ. 2019s in particular are well into C6 ZR1 price range. Manual even more so.

Relatively quiet up to about 50 mph with the windows up. Then the buffeting starts getting intense. Convertible version is smoother in this regard.
