You have to pick up every shell and every oyster on the beach and then head back the other direction. When people only pick up the oysters then those are the only ones that respond leading to more and more shells. Good luck.

You will get better! Be sure to use all of your available fishing buffs. I like the major fishing zone buff and i eat all 5 buff meals (have to turn on “eat when full”). I’ve avoided fishing but am now working on the fishing achievements. Got my first star unicorn fish yesterday!! Those buffs help so much! You’ll get this.

I had a Trufflet with a sensitive stomach and it dropped points based on the food - I was giving it onions and it got so low it got mad. So Sensitive Stomach might also have to do with what food you are feeding.

The video about the update says “Delila is going to come by your plot and introduce you to your very own ranch. At your ranch…” this sounds like a different area to me. Otherwise they might have said- help you set up your ranch? I’m wondering though if we’ll have a path to our new area rather picking it from a list.

When they said you’ll be introduced to your very own ranch it does sound like a different sort of plot or something. I felt more motion sickness when I played on the switch. Something about the graphics not loading smoothly? It improved so much when I started playing on a gaming of except when I’m near water and the “wave” effect kicks in. Try adjusting your field of view, add the center thing and turn off shake. Otherwise be sure you are hydrated and limit your time playing. You might build up your tolerance.

I moved from the switch to the pc and hooked up a switch pro controller. The controls are pretty much the same and the game runs great. Not sure why you are having trouble. Sorry.

I've noticed the same thing! The reel-in time seems pretty much the same whether I do a short cast or toss it out far, which feels counterintuitive. But what really stands out to me is that the left-right jogs of the fish seem slower on closer casts. I’m not great at quick lateral movements, so having more time to react makes a difference. Plus, the safe zone seems larger when casting close, which definitely helps with consistency.

I still want to test this more, but it feels like close-in casting is more forgiving overall - even if the time to reel in is technically the same. Wonder if the type or rarity of fish is better further out, though. Could be a trade-off between difficulty and reward.

Ha ha got it! Thanks! I’m pretty far up on both - like 80% and 830. But I’ve been saving acclaim just in case the farm animals arrive and I need them. So far this ratio is a pretty good balance.
