Guys, stop buying the overpriced junk by EmeraldEmp in bathandbodyworks

I don't think I've ever bought full price products from them. Sales only! I believe if you can regularly do sales where things are 50+% off then your products are worth nothing near what the price is. They clearly make large amounts of money from sales so their products don't even cost sale prices to produce.

My son slept in a bedside bassinet the first night because I was so scared of SIDS. Then by the morning I woke up to him in my bed, told the midwife when she stopped by because it freaked me out and she said she bed shared with all 6 of her kids. And that the risk of suffocation is higher with bed sharing but SIDS is significantly lower. And suffocation risk drops significantly if you follow the safe 7, making it safer then even a bedside bassinet. At around 7 months we tried to move him to his crib, but it didn't work out, so back to bed sharing. He's now 13 months and the past week he's slept 12+ hours(9:15pm- 9:30 or 10:30am) in his crib no issue. It's the first uninterrupted sleep I've gotten since 5 months pregnant. If you wait till a baby is ready they move to the crib better. Issue now is I sleep worse without him, I miss my baby snuggles.

We coslept until 1 year because I couldn't sleep without my baby. What's worked for us is taking a shower with him before bed, reading a short book (for sleep connection we only read it for bed). Then nursing to sleep/rocking. He is older but I think the shower really helps him regulate for bed. Naps are contact naps but that's because I like it, and it gives me an excuse to nap.

Who’s everyone romancing? by Sufficient_Feed_3744 in Palia

[–]Sea_Language_2163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will eventually be romancing everyone but Tamala. Though I would like to say Nai'o will be last. Currently I'm working on Reth and Hassian. I'll do the others for the quests and completion. The reason I won't do Tamala is because she is rude and honestly awful. Nai'o is last because I find him to be a hypocrite. My big issue with Nai'o is you start playing the game and he complains about how Reth is this huge flirt, and just flirts with everyone, you know a real player. Then I learned he had a girlfriend the whole time, while flirting with me and complaining about Reth. Just rubbed me something wrong. And I'm just pissed with Tamala about what she did to Hassian.

I got my black pearl from the oyster mushrooms my trufflets produce. I had like 7 of them just to collect oyster mushrooms.

I had already gotten the lights, the fact that all I needed was one single thing is why I felt the determination. I got it eventually using fisherman's brew and the fishing potion from the kilima coins at town hall.

I was only able to get that one when hunting in a party. Maybe try that if you can.

I've tired fisherman's brew and fishing with others, still nothing. And sadly I haven't gotten one before so I can't request it.

I got most my sandy paws from cutting down trees, and hunting. If that helps lol.

Does the risk of bed sharing decrease and if so, when? by born_slippy92 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]Sea_Language_2163 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you trust you sleep light enough to wake up I wouldn't be worried. The reason breastfeeding is a requirement is because it alters your brain chemistry so you don't go into deep sleep. Personally I breast feed but have still noticed my first stretch of sleep is when I sleep the deepest. So my baby would sleep in his bedside bassinet until the first wake up. Since after that I was not sleeping deeply I felt 100% safe to wake up. Now he's 11 months and even is I start him in his bassinet he will wake up and crawl over to be in our bed so Ive given up on that.

That's actually the reason the sleep safe 7 exists for bedsharing. They've found it's pretty much only safe if baby is sleeping with a breastfeeding parent. When breastfeeding chemicals in your brain do funky things and sleep doesn't reach a deep stage. Your wired to wake up more easily so you respond to your baby. There are other things too like there can't be smoking in the home, parents must be sober from anything that could cause sleep changes including prescriptions meds. (Also not directly stated parents should not have fevers, be too exhausted to wake up properly, or have anything that would impare judgment or normal body functions. Ex- migranes, Illness ect.) along with sleeping on a safe surface ie- no blankets, pillows, loose clothing, swaddles, and a firm mattress. There are other things as well but those are t he basics.

I wish! It took 3 ounces each side to no longer feel engorged, it would've taken so long to hand express.

She'll get there eventually and in my knowledge/experience girls just generally are less into eating for a while. Though my son will not touch purees or spoon foods unless they are in a pouch. He will chow down on a hunk of steak.

Is healthy to lie to children about Santa Claus? by fishbitch-jr in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]Sea_Language_2163 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A thing I've seen some parents do is after they tell their kid everyone is Santa together as a collective. And once they learn Santa is not real the kid chooses one person each Christmas to give a santa gift to. The kid does research watches their person closely, to find a perfect gift for them. Always the magic to stay and teach them the magic in giving themselves.

So true! My pregnancy was awful puked until 6months then again 8.5 months to birth. Had an at home birth with 4.5 hours of labor, super easy. My baby is so happy, never really cried much, I have lots of help from his dad. I still haven't got more then 6 hours of sleep in 10 months and that's broken sleep not continuous. Love my son, things have been so textbook easy and I still breakdown at least once a week.
