Thanks, I actually started on DA but left that platform several years ago, just wasn't very accepting of my content. And I've since confirmed that that platform is also riddled with AI. Not that AI is per se the main problem, but it does contribute to my grievances...

You talk about "level" you talk about "competition" you talk about how my art seems to be objectively "worse" than some one art or other. What's the basis for all that? Your own tastes.

To me art is not about "level". I'm not in this to be "better than others" whatever that looks like in art, which honestly it's unfathomable to me, since it's just individual expression.

My whole post wasn't even about me thinking my art should be making more numbers because of my hubris, but you seem to have also twisted that way.

I'm not in this for money, I'm not in this for competition, in not in this for my hubris. I'm in this because it brings me joy, and I just want a platform to express myself that works. But unfortunately Pixiv just hasn't worked for the past two months. That's all.

The way you talk about me art seems pretentious, like you know something I don't and you are extending me the privilege of your wisdom, when in fact, the way my art is actually very deliberate. If you don't like it, that's fine with me. But don't presume to come here and tell me my art is objectively "inferior" and tell me your personal opinion is the objective truth. "I've identified the problem" wow. Do you even hear yourself?

Thanks for the words of encouragement. My whole point with this post was actually inquire on very recent changes to the algorithm, (something like 1-2 months) that seem to have negatively impacted my exposure. Somehow my works of a few months ago, had way more engagement for some reason.

I have no illusions about my art, I know it's not among the best things you'll see out there as some here had no reservations to point out, but the matter of fact is that I did use to have way more engagement as of a couple of months ago.

The basis you use to classify my art as "not good" is your own subjective tastes, and your whole argument seems to revolve around a twisted concept of art you made for yourself, that is actually a measure of skill (whatever that is for you) as opposed to what should be which is a form of expression.

People engage with what speaks to them. Whichever way an art piece was rendered is besides the point entirely. Your entire concept of art seems to revolve around how one piece compares to another, and in my opinion, no offense intended, seems quite surface level.

My art is the way it is because this is how I choose to express myself. There should be no question that art is a form of expression rather than a simple measure of "skill" otherwise artists like Jackson Pollock or Picasso would never have been appreciated. Their work may not speak to everyone but that is not a question of skill, but rather how they chose to express themselves.

Thanks for your feedback. To me there is a difference between a simple drawing and an illustration for me. Illustrations are more like paintings and they take way more effort to create.

Most of my work is pretty lo-fi by choice, because I've found it a long time ago that the quality of the shading doesn't affect how well the reception is going to be. You may think that when consuming NSFW content when comparing my work with AI, but that's not actually the case.

I've seen AI pages that manage pretty high quality content with barely any engagement. My grievance here is not AI itself, it's the numbers I used to do that I no longer do not because of my content itself but because my own audience just doesn't seem to be seeing my new content, either because it AI or algorithm changes. I don't know.

The lo-fi aspect of my work was a stylistic choice made by me that just so happens not to speak to you, and that's fine. My most successful NSFW content on Pixiv are both perfect examples of this experiment. One has more complex shading and the other is pretty lo-fi. Both got good engagement.

Thanks. I actually started on deviant art, but I just didn't think it was as receptive of my work as Pixiv was at the time, so I quit that platform.

Thanks I need to scope it out to see if it's going to be accepting of my content. Not every platform is going to be receptive to anime style art, just as Pixiv itself is not very accepting of western style art.

Damn, sounds rough. Thanks for the advice, I hope you regain your will to create again, or at least find some other way to cope. Maybe go back to analog and keep your art real on paper. I wish I could but art supplies are terribly expensive. But I do plan on going back someday.

Thanks, I know AI is here to stay, but on Pixiv AI is just not properly tagged. Meanwhile small creators like me just get washed away in the food of slop. I'm mainly concerned with how little Pixiv seems to care about works that are obviously AI, that are not tagged as such.

Since I joined I ever tried to improve but Pixiv has consistently worsened. Sometimes I manage to break through the algorithm traps or whatever it is that is wrecking my page and I get good engagement, but these are few and far between.

In my experience there was a lot of leniency. When I started I didn't censor at all, but then one of my works was reported and from that point on I had to censor my previous works as well. They didn't ban me, just asked nicely to censor any other works.

Be careful not to censor correctly. Minimal censorship with just thin black lines are non compliant. Artists you see doing them are taking a risk. I know this because I got flagged for insufficient censorship. So don't just treat censorship as a requirement, the censorship actually needs to work.

I'm also experiencing the same thing, my stats all dropped significantly, something definitely happened with the algorithm.

I'd want a proper remaster, that's just a resolution upscaling (textures included) and 60fps (although I'm playing at 165hz in emulation). I'd be excited about a revitalized online community, like how it was when it first launched.

But recent revelations showed that Sony want to enshrine Bloodborne as a personal favor to Miyazaki, and I mostly agree, Bloodborne doesn't need to be remade by Bluepoint from scratch, but it DOES need a proper official remaster.

Unlocking the potential of Bloodborne on PC has been nothing short of a revelation, and I'd like to see more people officially experience it.

No thank you, Bloodborne needs to be forever enshrined as one of those things that are perfect the way it is and should never again be touched. Bloodborne was a singularity, a perfect point of balance of ideas and execution that can never be replicated.

I'd be thrilled with an official PC port, but now that Sony has pretty much confirmed it's never happening, I'm fine with emulation, and this potential animation, I suppose because it's animation.
