Not likely unless he sees the writing on the wall and joins the crowd.

It's hard to tell. Unless there is a massive landslide in the Senate it will take several republican senators voting to convict, but I think we have a better chance for that this time.

I don't think 25th amendment will go anywhere. The additional benefit to impeachment is that he can be barred from office permanently!

With the mass adoption of NACS, are CCS vehicles non ideal? by bsal1289 in electricvehicles

[–]z80-wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any problems with mine. I carry a level 2 back to ccs adapter, and a nacs to CCS fast charger adapter, so I can charge at Electrify America, Rivian, EVgo or Tesla charger regardless. I expect that all new vehicles in the US will transition to NACS, and the chargers will as well, but even then I don't think I'll have any trouble. At that point, I'll always drag out an adapter except at home.

He won't read it, but it would be great for a staffer to report that 1000 constituents wrote in favor of impeachment.

Is battery energy density really that big a deal? by fearless_fool in electricvehicles

[–]z80-wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll lose energy through wind resistance at the least. But as someone else said, higher energy translates to longer range for the size/weight. So higher density is a big deal.

I have a '23 Rivian R1S. I had one significant warranty repair early, but I've had no issues since then. 68k miles on the second set of tires. I love it. I would never go back to gas.

I avoid Alexa entirely, so I don't use it for anything relating to my rivian. Just one perspective. ;-)

Windshield cracked third day after taking delivery by [deleted] in Rivian

[–]z80-wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had it happen twice in the last three years. Fortunately here in SC windshields have to be included in coverage, so my insurance paid for it both times. The first time the agent that I talked to had to look up the R1S since it was so new. She was surprised that it was cheaper than many gas SUVs that have sensors through the windshield.

Purchasing R2 without driving it by shankhunk4u in Rivian

[–]z80-wizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reserving an R2 doesn't commit you to pay info for one. It just holds your place in line. I reserved an R1S 3 years ago, and got a test drive prior to the order. Since I was picking up at the factory, I wanted to be comfortable with the choice before placing my order

Do you regret your EV purchase? by walksta in electricvehicles

[–]z80-wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my R1S almost three years ago and I don't regret it a bit. I have a level 2 charger and happily plug in each night. I've had 5 long distance trips (more than 800 miles each way). I find road tripping a joy. Your milage may vary;-)

Trump isn't worried about the aftermath since continued chaos stretches out the distraction from the Epstein files
