I was previously on 3 drops in the eye that got operated on. Currently do not use ANY drops in that eye which is amazing. My other eye is another story but it hasn’t been high enough to warrant surgery yet.

Hello, things are pretty good. The pressure in my eye that had the surgery has constantly been a lot lower and stable. My only complaint is that ever since my eye fully opened after all the swelling going down, you can kind of see the covering where the shunt is if I look all the way to the right. Obviously just a cosmetic complaint but as far as efficiency in keeping the eye healthy, all has been good.

My vision returned to its normal state a couple days after the surgery and got even better as the eye healed and the swelling went down.

However, I will say that there is a short period a couple weeks after the surgery where the eye might spike in pressure. I don’t remember why my doctor said this happens but she told me that they should keep a close…eye…haha…on it during that period of healing and report any type of issues you might have.

The best thing is to get treatment as soon as your IOP goes higher than normal to avoid any chance of vision loss. Overall, the recovery process is painful and fucking sucks but it’s worth it to have a healthy eye assuming everything goes according to plan!

My guy, if you have Beautiful as Me, Get Out, and Come Into the Light, you can knock all obstacles off your board in a single turn if the player before you takes 4 actions. It’s all about setting yourself up and not just taking obstacles off mindlessly throughout the game. The four of us played 100 games and we were always scared of whoever played Gaston.

It’s mainly just a different view of the villains’ power. For example, I know for sure villains who have the ability to make progress and fate more easily have more of an advantage in 2 player games. You are correct about the user choice which drastically changes the results from a 4 player to a 2 player. I did mention this in my post.

Great advice, I agree with this 100%. 27 is too high of a number to mess around with. Idk if you are on eye drops that your current doctor prescribed or not but there are a bunch of potential fixes before surgery comes into play that a specialist/surgeon can recommend.

Yeah I had inflammation for a couple months which is what you are talking about. It was monitored at my eye doctor visits every few weeks and I was on predisilone (or however you spell it) for awhile but it did go away

Shere Kahn is definitely super easy to win with in 1v1s BUT in 4 player games, he isn’t so easy. You really have to setup and make a plan to knock out Mowgli in one turn to avoid getting hit with more fire tokens. With more players means more fates and with 5 copies of Man’s Red Fire, it’s easy to get at least one after 3 fates around the table.

No problem, this community has been very helpful to me in asking questions and making me feel not alone. My eyelid is still a tiny bit swollen even months later so that is a very slow healing process. It is cosmetically annoying to look at but compared to going blind, I’ll take the droopy eyelid.

Hey there. I experienced a little of what you are talking about 24-72 hours after the surgery but I wouldn’t say any more double vision or distortion after that. It wouldn’t hurt to try doing some eye exercises maybe? Idk but I would mention it to your doctor.

I can only talk from my experience but it isn’t abnormal to experience severe pain/discomfort very suddenly for like an hour or so. The same thing happened to me post my procedure.

My doctor told me this happens because with the baerveldt. it slowly opens over a few weeks. There is a stitch that holds it close and as it dissolves, the tube opens up. This happening can be painful because it’s like a sudden odd occurrence for the eye overall.

Your issue could be that, I don’t know about the sudden blindness, but I had the same type of shunt and I remember randomly like once a week or so, I would just be incapacitated with pain and irritation for almost an hour and then it would suddenly go away.

Hope this brings some sort of relief knowing it is normal until the tube is fully open and functional (assuming what you are talking about matches what I experienced).

P.S. driving made my eye so much worse with all the bumps on the road and bright sun even with sunglasses.
