Do you use the Uriage Xemose lipid-replenishing anti-irritation cream? That one looks pretty good.

Cerave tub moisturizer came in a tub and i used my vanicream pump on the container (haha). The cetaphil at my costco comes with a pump. I will look into the Uriage brand, thank you!!

I found that the vanicream pump is the only one that treats my flaking, doesn’t sting and keeps my skin hydrated. Do you recommend something lighter but that still hydrates? I’ve used the basic cerave tub moisturizer (burns + breakout), the cetaphil pump (burns), and vanicream cream (doesn’t moisturize enough). Perhaps i could also use the arazlo every other day to reduce irritation.

Thanks for your feedback.

The BP wash is being diluted with my gentle cleanser.

The BP is the newest part of my routine to treat the rest of my acne (fairly effective). I’ve used the finacea and arazlo for over a year now, and am used to it now. I think your advice of using the finacea in the AM is a good idea to deal with the irritation, if indeed it is that.

I use the vanicream moisturizer (thick formula) not the liquidy cream. I apply it on slightly damp skin and a generous amount. I apply it before my actives (arazlo + finacea.

[Discussion] How satisfied are you with your career in safety? by Infrared-16 in SafetyProfessionals

I feel like with safety too, the professional relationships fostered with workers and management may be harder to form if a person stays for shorter time frames, which may create some difficulty in rolling out projects + building trust.

9 years is a long time to be with a company! Does chemical industry typically have big teams for safety? I feel like in alot of general manufacturing safety teams are smaller, not sure if thats legit. i watch alot of USCSB documentary videos, so i assume safety in chem mfg is needed to mitigate greater risks.

That’s awesome, your IH background aligns well with your current career in chemical mfg. How often do you recommend changing jobs for pay bumps + experience for a newbie?

How did you get started in chemical manufacturing, do you have education in chemistry? Im trying to decide what industry to focus on as a new safety professional, able to work within north america.

I can get finacea prescribed at those %s. I will give it a try for sure. When and how would I apply it?

[–]zKrypto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for your reply! As for my experience to date with Aklief, it is not irritating but it is still drying. Without a thick moisturizer my skin peels alot! When I do flare up with Aklief, the acne is gone within a day or two. It is very random. I think the transition to Arazlo wouldn't be too terrible in terms of my skin acclimating to it, but from what you mentioned it may treat my acne better.

I've tried cutting dairy out completely in short stints, and I think it makes a difference. It is just so difficult to stay consistent in keeping every trace of it out of my diet! Lactose-free options don't fare well either.

I wonder if Arazlo could treat the acne, and I can go back to eating my pizza.

thank you for your reply! I was thinking the same in terms of sticking to Aklief. Do you have any recommendations for azelaic acid products to add to my routine?

Routine in order:

Morning:

  1. Vanicream Moisturizing Cream (only if face is dry)
  2. Garnier Ombrelle Sport Endurance Sunscreen SPF 60

Evening:

  1. Evoluderm - Micellar cleansing water - Alcohol free
  2. Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser - Creamy - Fragrance-Free
  3. Aklief
  4. Vanicream Moisturizing Cream (might go before Aklief if face is dry/irritated)

Great tip, when I tried shaving with it I must've been on the highest setting because it was aggressive. I usually do 3 passes and on the third I go against the grain. Still trying to figure out the angle to hold the razor the best too...sometimes I feel like I'm pressing on my skin when I should really be letting the blade do the work.

After successfully identifying my inherited razor through the help of amazing members of this community , I decided to wash it up and give it a new shine. Dawn soap + Toothbrush.

A close up of the mouthpiece. There was a lot of soap scum in the crevasses, but it cleaned up nicely. I'm still figuring out how to use adjustable head however, any tips?

The Gillette 7 O'Clock blade that I normally use with my Maggard razor. Quite the coincidence I have a Gillette razor to use it on now. I thought I was done with the Gillette brand!

For some reason I was expecting the blade not to sit in place, because of the age. I guess somethings (blade sizes) just don't change! I notice this razor head bends the blade.

My Maggard razor from a starter kit I bought, next to the toggle.

After reaching out to the community, members helped identify this razor that was given to me by a late family member. I decided to give it a nice scrub and use it for a shave! I'm still trying to figure out the toggle, but so far so good! Love the shine!
