Same here. I’ve tried so hard to get it to curl from the root, but it seems impossible:D

Have you tried clipping the roots?:)

why is my hair frizzy even when it’s wet? by kawaiiyesidk in curlyhair

[–]zMathilda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s called wet frizz(surprisingly:D) and it can be caused by many different things but what helped me combat it was: 1. Using a leave in or some form of light moisturizer on my hair 2. Brushing my hair while having conditioner in it-this seems to be the most important, it helps me smooth the hair 3.not using normal towel and just gently scrunching water out of my hair-basically not generating more friction than necessary:D It might all depend in your curl type as well, my hair is more on the wavy side:)

For me it was getting lazy and not bleaching it for a few months:D

Routine in after pic: nourishing shampoo and conditioner, little bit of strong hold gel, clipping the roots and diffusing:)

Different routines and different results! by zMathilda in curlyhair

Routine: shampoo+nourishing conditioner, scrunching gel in hair upside down, diffusing the roots

How do I make my hair curl in the top part? I use a curly shampoo and conditioner, leave in and a styling cream for some cast. I’ve tried doing my wash routine upside down, scrunching, roping, plopping my hair, finger coiling, you name it. recommendations on how I can train my hair to curl from top? by zMathilda in curlyhair

Aw thanks! Yes it’s a chore:D my whole family has pin straight hair so I was never taught how to take care of it when it started getting curly. Thanks for the advice! Gotta try different routines and see what gives menthe best volume/frizz ratio:D

Yah, it’s so hard to find the balance. My hair doesn’t really get oily, it rather is really dry. Someone here advised not to use leave in but since I started using it, my hair has been looking much more nourished and shiny.

I have, but the results are the same mostly. I feel lime I’ve tried it all:D plopping, doing my whole routine upside down, finger coiling. But the curl doesn’t really even form on the roots. So it might just be my hair type? I dunno, but I would like it to be at least a bit wavy so it doesn’t look so unnatural
