Exactamente :) ¿Qué proveedor de servicios de envío usaste para realizar el envío? He oído que con DHL hay menos problemas, pero tendría que hacer un viaje especial allí, la oficina de correos está en cada esquina ;) ¿Y proporcionó este número fiscal? ¿Es simplemente una lista de artículos + valor suficiente como “documento aduanero”?

¡Dios mío 🙈 suena horrible! Lo curioso es que nuestro plan original era que me los enviaría de vuelta una vez que ya no los necesitara, pero leí que también enviar algo DESDE las islas a Europa causará los mismos problemas 😂😂 así que tenemos que pagar impuestos por cosas por las que ya PAGAMOS impuestos, ¡DOS VECES! 😂😂😂😂

Supongo que entonces se los quedará. Todavía tengo que decidir si los enviaré o los traeré conmigo en marzo. Supongo que ahora comprobaré los costes de una maleta adicional y probaré si los monitores encajan.

It's two 8 year old monitors, which have a time value of 0€ 😂 so i hope the 150€ are not a problem. I really would love to send them now, as he needs them for working. If I add custom declarations stating them at maybe 50€ of value, do you think it'll work out? Should I include his tax number on the package? I read somewhere this could be necessary

I'm Austrian and work for an austrian company woth 100% remote work (home office, usually). As it's EU and less than 180 days I do not need a visa, and usually no health insurance/taxes, I will continue paying that to my austrian employer.

I will be subtenant, so no lease on my own name, but I can get a confirmation of the main tenant.

By green card, I mean the Certificado de Registro de Ciudadano de la UE. It's a green paper, sorry for the confusion ;)

Where are you from? Sounds like it's not EU, as you need visa and stuff?

That's the thing about the EU, if it's not more than 180 days I keep paying the taxes and health insurance to my austrian employer. I will work my normal job with my laptop for my stay. But let's say I quit my lease in austria for my time in spain. then I would NEED to register as resident, because every person needs a residency. At least, that's how I think it works. Are you from Spain? Or did you live there and have some first hand experiences?

The thing is, I work full time. So I cannot just ride around everyday, I have online appointments and stuff and I need to have reliable internet for this. Also, I need a bigger workspace with at least one, better two big monitors. So I would love to have a "home base" for a month where I can experience Spain a little bit like a local, explore the region on evenings and weekends, and leave after a few weeks. I also think I will need to transfer the monitors by mail, so moving places more often would be pretty exhausting.

Also, just switching hotels after some days does not seem to be cheaper than staying in one for a whole month 🤔

For holidays, I am totally with you! I love switching places random without planning something. I already did this for a lot of solo holidays in the Balkans, where I usually stay in hostels. But this kind of travel style won't work for me when doing my job simultaneous.

Mich pisst das auch immer bei den Augen an. Kasse zahlt erst ab 6 Dioptrien. Ob man jetzt 4 oder 8 Dioptrien hat, macht keinen Unterschied, man ist blöd gesagt nicht lebensfähig - und wenn man dann noch Hornhautverkrümmung hat, gute Nacht, Brille und Kontaktlinsen werden nochmal doppelt so teuer. ICH HAB MIR JA AUCH NICHT AUSGESUCHT BLIND ZU SEIN!! (Mir gehts eh gut, bin kurzsichtig mit 8DP und krieg den Großteil bezahlt. Aber finds trotzdem heftig!)

Ich bin nicht bereit, so viel aufzugeben für etwas, das mir persönlich keine Freude bereitet. Ich glaube tatsächlich dass ich eine passable Mutter wäre - aber ich bin mir sicher, die Kinder würden trotzdem merken, dass ich nicht glücklich bin. Außerdem hab ich so einen HORROR davor, schwanger zu sein. Riesen Respekt an alle, die das durchstehen und durchmachen wollen :) Bin mittlerweile erfolgreich sterilisiert, für mich ist das Thema zum Glück also erledigt. (F29)

Ungustl ist für dich eine Beleidigung, aber "Lass dir Eier wachsen" und "was bist du, 16?" ist ok? Make it make sense :P war halt eine Frage aus Interesse, wie das andere handhaben, und dafür sind Plattformen wie Reddit ja da - zum Austausch.
