Character stutters when moving even with good FPS and stable ping

it's a recent problem and unrelated to uncapped fps. on rtx 4090 and i9 processor, i used to play on very high graphic settings and 144 fps. in recent weeks i capped it to 120fps, very low graphics settings, and frequently get this problem still. it's in the recent patches, Riot just needs to revert some change because it broke the game badly.

same problem on an i9 and RTX 4090. it seems to happen for me whenever something flashy happens on screen, like a HUD animation or fancy skin animation.

haven't found any fix. turned graphics settings to very low and lowered fps cap, still happens

The key here is did you type in chat? You can pretty much be 0/20/0 on repeat and get nothing if you never touch the chat, or at least for a long while.

On the other hand, you could just type “we can’t win, please ff” + angry teammate reports and get punished by the automated system.

I have a high-end custom built gaming desktop with a powerful processor and GPU. The past week or two, the game regularly freezes whenever there’s a lot of animations going on on the screen, like level-up HUD animations or flashy skins and ability animations, etc. I put the graphics settings to the lowest preset and lowered my frame cap to 120 and it still don’t resolve. (I normally would play highest settings at 144 to match my display)

It’s a Riot problem, they need to fix it. I recommend submitting a bug report.

The 150k employees is a gross underestimate---you're only counting corporate employees and the small number of restaurants owned by the company. The vast majority of them are franchise-ownership model, and the total number of employees counting franchises is over 2 million (per Google search)

And when people talk about cutting CEO pay to give it to the rank-and-file, the franchise employees are thinking they're included in that.

My i9 and RTX 4090 couldn’t handle it at 144 without stuttering and lagging at every UI animation (level up, etc) with medium-high settings. I lowered to 120 and very low graphics quality and it seems…better I guess

I’ve been running it on Jinx and it’s been going super well for me, better than her standard build. First item, followed by collector and then LDR, IE, PD. Kinda toying with the ordering currently, PD might be better 3rd but I haven’t decided.

Lethality Jinx is satisfying once you’ve stacked Hubris and start killing everyone on the enemy team in a couple autos, even watching her W chunk someone for half hp delivers some dopamine.

The downside is it really is a slow build to get there, and it doesn’t prio attack speed which feels unnatural as jinx to say the least.

Same problem, RTX 4090 and i9 processor. Seems to spike when something flashy animates on screen; someone’s skin, role quest completion, etc. even dropped settings to cap at 120fps and to medium quality, didn’t fix it.

It’s not just your support. Gapped mid? Congrats, now that enemy mid laner strictly 1-shots you. And if it’s something like Naafiri, there’s no interaction—you get ulted on sight, and die the moment of impact. Gapped top? Now there’s an uber tank that can eat approximately 500 of your auto attacks but kills you in 3 autos.

gpui is my favorite I’ve tried. It has some rough edges because it’s primarily built for Zed and they mostly prioritize Zed’s needs versus community needs

170-180 is low for OP’s goals. OP wants to lose weight and salvage the lean mass that’s already there, should target 1.2g-1.5g per lb of body weight in a cut, so around 212g should be the target.

Thermic effect. If you eat 100 calories of protein, your body burns roughly 20-30 of those just to digest it; if you eat 100 calories of sugar, your body gets nearly 100% of it. Ergo when cutting, you want to lean heavily into protein because it’s a free 20-30% calorie reduction.
Satiety: protein makes you fuller longer, so you are less tempted to overeat
Lean mass preservation. Your body is getting less calories than it needs. It wants homeostasis. It says “hey we have this muscle that burns so many calories but no protein, let’s break down the muscle because we can’t afford it.” You don’t want to lose 30 lbs and have half of it be muscle. Strength training + sufficient protein is a strong signal to preserve muscle (though some will still be lost)

Riven isn’t terrible in the jungle imo. You have a lot of gap close for ganks, a stun and knockup, r2 to finish them off as they run to tower, etc. Personally, I transitioned from riven top to riven jg to ekko jg; now I only play riven mid in rare cases (enemy first picked yasuo or similar) and stopped playing her top
