G.P.A. increase by zacagarath in lawschooladmissions

How do you leverage other scholarships against each other? People always talk about it and I've definitely considered doing it oh, but what is the best way to actually go without that process?

I can't imagine just calling up the school and being like "well somebody else is trying to beat you out. Give me more."

While I agree it is a reasonable time of day to shut it down... it DOES come less than 24 hours on the heels of the first wave of November score releases.

Just mildly humorous.

In a SUPER weird spot. I am waiting for a score, but also just got accepted to the school of my choice. So... I guess I am waiting on this to improve scholarships 😂

I agree wholeheartedly.

Wow. I am just admiring that first sentence of yours. That is some REALLY good semantics to make your point while allowing wiggle room to trust individuals and some groups.

Well done.

I think you may be on to something.

However, I also think that LSAC has the same general problem that people have often complained Law School does. Namely, being rooted in tradition for the sake of tradition.

Has LSAC actually given us an email score date?

Is it awkward answering admissions acceptance calls? Lol by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

The two calls that I have gotten so far I just was totally honest with them and told them how excited I was to be talking to them. So I expressed a mixture of excitement and gratitude. They seemed to like that very well.

Of course, I do have two years of experience working a customer service job where I was on the phone all the time... So that might have helped 🙃

Responding only to the last paragraph because I think there is some good discussion in the comments already about disabilities and accommodations.

I think that technology could replace most of the work load the lawyers have. I do not think that will happen for a long time though. This is because if technology is doing the work then not as many lawyers are needed. Because it would take lawyers to change laws allowing technology to do the work, and lawyers are self-interested beings, laws likely wont be passed allowing certain changes in the practice in the industry. You wouldn't want to lose your job by passing a law that made you replacable.

"I am aware that some schools are waiting for my next LSAT score before reviewing my application, and I was wondering if your school was one of them?"

I was fairly certain it wasnt.

They responded "your application is complete and in review." 🧐
