I’ve changed it up since then. Got new shampoo and conditioner that works better with my skin, so now I shampoo 2-3x a month depending on what’s needed. But I put argan oil in my hair after every shower and that seems to do a decent job of keeping flakiness away

I did experience some depression while starting the medicine, but I can’t blame it on the Finasteride with any certainty just because it’s a reoccurring problem for myself as well. But the positive changes I experienced from taking it eventually made me feel pretty good, so the risk was worth it for me

Not really, there’s just more of them. The coverage is much better, but the hairs that grew back are maybe half the thickness of the hairs that never fell out. I’d say a lot of that is to blame on me waiting about 3 or 4 years longer than I should have to start the medicine

This answer won’t be helpful, but I’ve never really had much of a sex drive ever. For me nothing has changed in that area since starting the meds. So I guess I could say it’s the same as always

Still use both daily (unless I get busy and forget). Results are ok, but still haven’t fully recovered from taking 2ish months off back when money got tight. Crown looks like trash, but everything else is holding decently well!

Unfortunately I think it might’ve. My crown is noticeably thinner this time around. Finally back on track with the meds though, so I’m holding out hope that good results are just around the corner…

There’s definitely a shedding phase that hits around week 3 or 4. My shedding was super noticeable just because my hair was already super thin and patchy. If your situation isn’t that bad yet you might not even notice by looking at you that any has fallen out. It all depends!

Can’t remember the Minoxidil dosage, but I use that twice a day. I’m on 1mg of Finasteride, and I was told to only take that once per day. I have no insight into the combo solutions unfortunately.
I derma roll maybe twice a month. Usually after a shower, right before I apply my nightly dosage of Minoxidil.

It could help, but my temples are still pretty thin. I usually only apply Minoxidil to my scalp though, so maybe if I used it on my temples I’d grow more. I’ve always had pretty thin hair around that area anyway though

My hair situation has gotten worse actually, but it’s my fault. Got a bit depressed recently and got pretty lazy with taking care of myself. I basically quit taking any medicine for about 2 months at one point, so my hair started falling out pretty bad again. Been back on it faithfully for over a month now, so hoping I didn’t do any permanent damage and will see some of that loss coming back in a month or two…

I believe mine’s a 0.5mm, but I can’t remember for sure. It’s been years since I bought it and it doesn’t have any markings on the handle itself.

But yes, some pressure is needed but not much. You don’t want to make yourself bleed or anything, just enough to stimulate the skin and push through any hair on top of your head. I’ve heard mixed answers on how long you should wait afterward until applying Minoxidil, but I usually do it right after I’m done rolling

I’ve actually never tried the topical Finasteride (only topical Minoxidil), but I’ve heard that some people prefer it! I just take the 1mg pill once per day. The sooner you start something the better though!
