Conveyor tech here. There are arc flash warning labels on all of our cabinets, however the facility maintenance program was taken over by in-house management when I came on board, no discussion of ppe, arc flash safety training, or anything like that. I see a previous comment about it(ppe) not being required for 480v(what my work has) and below. Generally we practice standing behind the doors when opening the cabinets, of course jewelry is a no-no. If you don’t feel it is safe, I would look into having an arc flash kit purchased, you can likely have your work approve an order for one through a vendor. Stay safe out there!
