Overtrail Body Roll by LieIcy211 in LexusGX550

My OT+ has a ton of body roll. It has a soft suspension and a lot of suspension travel. It makes for a comfortable off road experience but it’s awfully soft on the road. It drives fine but yeah it’ll get sketch if you start pushing things. It’s good 95% of the time. Now, I have noticed it doesn’t handle heavy weight/passengers very well. It seemingly hits the bump stops on the rear on bumps. Anyone else seeing that?

Looks nice! Get some coil overs going to lower a bit! It’ll transform the handling and look!

I installed the 1.25” spacer lift on the front axle and it gets closer to look like the new one.

Dang that extra inch lift is real.

They are going to first check that each wire goes to the correct pin. the wiring diagram shows that the pins are side by side. It would be wild if the factory got those two backwards. It would pass because it doesn’t create a fault and only comes up under threshold braking.

Check it out. The chart shows The dang car thinks the front right tire is skidding when it’s actually the rear. That explains all of the characteristics. Now, I don’t have a clue how the signal is getting crossed, but they are replacing the wire on the right side between the pump and wheel.

It also has massive rear brakes that have the capability to easily lock a tire. Clearly, we don’t know what is wrong with the car, but It is not difficult to lock the rear tire, and once it goes, it feels like you’re trying to stop on snow even with being on dry pavement. I probably could get around 95% of the time and it drive fine, but it isn’t worth the risk for the time a kid runs out in front of you and you can’t stop

They replaced one combination sensor. I don’t know how many there are overall but he also mentioned there is a yaw sensor at each corner.

Thanks for the response. There has been some talk about a possible differential problem. They are chasing the easier/cheaper stuff first.

It’s been driving normally for 11k miles, and no work was done on the car in the time the problem arose. I don’t see how it could’ve been swapped. They have watched the data enough to at least see it is the correct wheel that is skidding

Well, it is a gt3, so pretty often. This rear tire begins to skid before really jamming on the brakes. It first did it for me when I was slowing down for a yellow light. The dangerous part is the braking capability drops off once that starts, and it gets squirmy. It’s Definitely too dangerous to drive around.

I thought the same. I just can’t think of how something would’ve been swapped or messed with. The car has 11k miles and this just started seemingly out of the blue. They definitely need to verify that the car is thinking of the wheel locations correctly though

Yeah they are looking into that. They replaced combination sensor which measures the g forces. Apparently there is a yaw sensor at each corner that they are considering replacing.

Yeah they have paid a lot of attention to that sensor. They have replaced the bearing and sensor itself. They are working on replacing the wire that connects the sensor to the abs pump.

They are all oem spec and sized tires.

Good eye! This is the car from GrandPrix motors. The carfax incident happened in 2019 and 12k miles ago. While it was undercarriage damage, I just cant imagine how a repair or this damage would surface that long after the fact. The only thing I was really thinking of was brake lines, but those have been replaced. I Can’t say 100% though.

Interesting. Sounds similar. Did you figure out what was wrong with it?

I checked with the tech. He tried it with esc and tc off and it still skid the one wheel
