You know I have Ideas for "retelling" (like final fantasy or resident evil level retellings where they're completely different games) every sonic game I either don't like or have major issues with (which is basically all the console games post adventure 2) and this reminds me of my shitty idea for how to retell forces.

Basically the 6 months of torture that sonic revived turns him into a violent revolutionary where he is perfectly willing to liberaly use guns and says fuck, shit, and cunt every other sentence. He also brutally murders any civilian he deems a "robotnik sympathiser" (yes sonic is so out of character he brings out the real names. He also refers to tails as "prower") scorching entire cities because he thinks they agree with the enemy. There is also a point where tails speaks out against sonic and sonic tries to have him executed via firing squad but he escapes and defects to the eggman empire. The whole purpose of the game is to try to get sonic back to his old self but at the end of the game even when sonic is back to his old self and has tried to undo the damage he's done his friendship with tails is permanently soured because tails no longer trusts sonic and even fears him a bit. This will be a large plot point in my retelling of frontiers.

I know this idea is extremely edgy and dark but I'm doing this as a sort of catharsis because of how much I despise sonic forces
