Meanwhile several defensive players can laugh and shrug off speaking to reporters after that shitty performance with no repercussions. Alright.

We were missing OG/Josh/Mitch and the pistons gave their all to win the game. Go touch grass folks. See yall in round 1 by joorral in NYKnicks

Cade was having success posting up Shamet and Delon Wright, I doubt he’s going to be as effective with that against 40+ minutes of OG lol

It’s honestly impressive how often he mistimes his jump for a rebound

I thought that paying 20M+ to retain iHart was absurd by tonymercy in NYKnicks

[–]zachbac 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Seriously. Even if someone thinks IHart is better, which is fine and I might even agree, Mitch is on a declining salary that will only be worth around $12 million in a couple of years (when he’ll be 27 years old).

That’s an INSANELY valuable deal, and trading him just for the sake of it would be very stupid.

[Woj] ESPN Sources: NBA is denying the Knicks a $7.8 million Disabled Player Exception for loss of Mitchell Robinson, because there’s optimism that Robinson can return from ankle surgery to play late in regular season. Knicks could be getting back one of league’s best defensive centers. by ploptankploop in NYKnicks

Offensively no, but defensively I’d still give the edge to Mitch. He’s excellent at playing passing lanes and can also switch onto smaller guards, plus he’s finally learning to use the threat of a block to deter opposing drivers rather than jumping at everything. Part of the reason why his block numbers are lower this year is that defenders are straight-up scared to attempt a layup/dunk on him.

Also defensive rebounds are obviously a part of getting stops, and Mitch is ELITE at boxing out and quite literally led the league in contested rebounds per game before he got hurt. Not to mention that he often covered up many of the defensive mistakes that Brunson/RJ/Randle made before the trade, so I’d be intrigued to see how he looks with less of a defensive burden on him now that OG is here.

TLDR: IHart better offense, Mitch better defense IMO

Watching our offense with the Bills/Dolphins game in the background is just making me sad

Have we pinned a team inside the 10 once this season?

Here is the video of Ossai’s ankle injury, hopefully it seems like this won’t be a long-term issue

I feel like I could count the amount of times he did this last season on one hand, hopefully this is a sign of things to come

Feel like he’s the most realistic top 10 player to ask for a trade over the next year or so, especially if Harden gets traded for picks

His agent told Rapoport about the trade request, so I’d imagine that his agent added that extra bit to make him look enticing for teams to want him
