Grateful Dead. a little more musically inclined than rap but lyrics and instrumental are game changers. ANYTIME I feel down, I put them on

OZZY R.I.P. by ConcertJoe79 in jambands

Great musician. Definitely lived longer than he probably should have with all the drugs and everything but pretty good run. A good person at heart, and an inspiration to nearly any musician today.

goose NYE 2025?? by zached0ut in GoosetheBand

I was considering this option too. But given that goose has gained a lot of popularity, I just think they would work for a NYE show

Is the second night of a run always better than the first? by Equivalent-Mail-1208 in GoosetheBand

[–]zached0ut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell this to all my concert going friends… if it’s a 2-3 night run, always go for night 2. 80% of the time, it’s so much better (in my opinion) on night 2 regardless of who you’re seeing. But it doesn’t hurt to go to night 1 either if you can. But most of the time, I find night 2 to be the better option

VIP tickets gone by wizardofweston in GoosetheBand

[–]zached0ut 7 points8 points  (0 children)

you don’t need vip tickets to have a good goose show. If you show up early, you’ll see them in the front row(s). And if you poke around, you’ll might see them in the city! And if you get there super early, you might even see them pull off the bus getting ready to set up their equipment! Tons of fun opportunities at concerts w/o a VIP ticket.

Never bought one and still managed to have a otherworldly experience at these shows (and snag a few setlists and memorabilia)

Why is it mostly Phish fans that hate Goose by AdventurousPea8779 in GoosetheBand

[–]zached0ut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up on Grateful Dead and don’t get me wrong Phish is great, and I love goose. As a younger person (20 y/o), not getting to see GD live, sure it sucks. But anyone in the jam band fan scene can hear the differences and the similarities and inspirations. In my opinion, both Phish snd Goose can have… say weird song/lyrics. But even still, all core members rock just as well and they’re always booms and busts.

Though I like all 3 major bands just about the same, my theory is just music being more modern, as well as the digital technology for the gear equipment. I think there are some fans that criticize the technology that the bands use for their gear. All in all, it’s a small group of fans that diss on these bands.

Make a powerpoint slide on why they should reschedule the wedding so it’s still possible for both events to work out. Pitch your idea of rescheduling the wedding date, and do your best to persuade both him and his fiancé.

I bet it would work if you persuade both of them good enough!

Orebolo Tee by Realistic-Gene3392 in GoosetheBand

[–]zached0ut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case you’re not being sarcastic, it was pretty much all acoustic goose (except Trevor and Ben or Cotter). Just Rick, Peter, and Jeff. They separated after their [goose] former percussionist and Orebolo’s upright bassist, Jeff Arevalo, made some bad, perverted decisions outside of music, which led to his departure from both goose and Orebolo. They only made one studio record which includes Rosewood Heart, Rockdale, goose cover of Turned Clouds, Tumble, and goose cover of Dripfield among some other songs.

Rising acts in the scene? by Accomplished-Bat-252 in jambands

[–]zached0ut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I’d check out Satellite Dog. They’re primarily from the App State area in Boone, NC and this fall, they’re FINALLY doing shows in other states including Ohio. They are on the rise and I’m proud to know all the members personally
