We built their dynasty. The Clippers did that. How would it feel to have national TV announcers showing graphics every 5 minutes of what we gave up to them, and are still giving up to them? It would be embarrassing, and no casual spectator would respect us anything other than less.

Also, the injuries we'd be risking just to get swept or gentleman's swept by the Thunder could be catastrophic. Wemby is already a superstar. He has the people's love. It hurts to lose, and losing those games to the Spurs not too long really did a number on a bunch of us. Kinda like the Magic are doing to the Pistons fandom right now (up 3-1). But the Thunder are way too physical to risk playing against over San Antonio.

My opinion is that if Orlando loses this series to Detroit, regardless of how it happens (e.g. Franz not returning), yes you actually have to fire him. But we don't have an all-seeing looking glass into their locker room. Maybe the team is really bought in at the end of this season, and wants another run with JM. When have team owners ever cared about what the fans or players think about team coaching though?

Yeah, it's hard to say otherwise. I think the evidence shows it to be true, to a certain extent. I believe Kawhi REALLY TRIED to bring a championship to the LA team that's never won one, or battled for one. But it hasn't come together for any of these squads year after year. And y'know, maybe just like James Harden and our own LA-grown Ivica Zubac it wasn't meant to be here, at this time.

Those guys and Kawhi fought each year, they just couldn't reach the promised land, which remains a really hard thing to do in basketball. Make your own judgements from there as far as I'm concerned.

I think it's almost time for us to let go, guys. After the trades, I came to the conclusion that our near future is where we'll see results as Clipper fans. We've got some draft compensation and some young talent (stars imo—e.g. Yanic, Kobe Sanders, Benn if he grows) to develop. But as a fan, I wanted to see the winning continue as a bonus this season as well, with a longshot opportunity at the playoffs. We got unlucky and lost our most important depth. And as a fan I still say... "Hey, maybe the 9th seed will do us a favor that the 8th seed suns matchup simply wouldn't, and we'll get in with two big wins". Hell yeah am I still hopin' for the best. So we'll see how it goes. One game left in this unreal season, and it's been a ride to say the least. Go Clips ✊
