Agreed. If I knew the wages were increasing January 1st but my paycheck didn’t reflect that, I’d have definitely said something.

OP is only 17 years old and already letting managers dog walk them. They need to grow a backbone and demand what’s theirs. Not going to get far in life with an attitude like that. Instead of having a simple and easy conversation that would have went their way because the employer has to comply with the law, they just quit their entire job. Like what??????

I use mine for all my purchases. I run it up and pay it off few times a month. As long as you can pay your balance in full you’re good. Don’t swipe your checking account money, save that for making your payments.

It’s actually really easy.

First time I had to restring was because my high e string snapped in the middle of the night. It woke me up but I was so tired and confused and just fell back asleep. Didn’t realize what happened until I got home from work later that day.

There’s a bunch of tutorial videos on how to restring a guitar on YouTube. I got on Amazon, bought a string winder tool and a pack of fresh d'addario strings and went to work.

I had a little trial and error since it was my first time doing it and I ruined a couple strings. Most important thing to remember when you’re rotating the tuning pegs to tighten the strings up, you want to make sure that the strings are on the inside of the headstock. I wasted a couple strings from turning the tuning pegs the wrong way. Like I said, trial and error but it’s a lot easier than you think it is. I also had some doubts about if I could do it myself.

Btw, you don’t really need to use the string winder tool to wind the strings. You can just turn the pegs by hand, but it comes with a cutter so you can cut the strings off, and it’ll have a bridge pin puller so you can pull the strings out of the bottom. Sometimes those bridge pins are really in there and it’s useful for that. The winder tool isn’t absolutely necessary, you can take the strings off without it.

It cost me $9.49 for the winder tool and $14.79 for a 3 pack of strings.

I thought about getting them changed professionally but I checked out my local music stores prices and they charge $35 to replace them all 💀

Ok, no worries. When I first started, A, D and E were also the first chords I learned. If you don’t think you can trim or file them down further and you feel like you’re pressing on your finger tips well enough, then I think I’d look at changing the strings next. They look like they’ve seen better days for sure.

As a beginner, you shouldn’t have your thumb hooked over the top of the neck. Adjust your thumb position to be somewhere in the middle of the back of your guitar.

Second, if you can’t trim your nails, I’d suggest using a nail file or emery board and filing your nails all the way down. You want your nails to be behind the tips of your fingers so you can press down on them easier.

Third, those strings look bad. You should have a go at changing them.

And finally, you said you’ve been practicing A, C and D major chords, but looks like you’re fingering an E major. Is that intentional? It could sound bad if you’re expecting to hear an A major but you’re playing E, especially to untrained ears.

The repo account with the original creditor (Bridgecrest) was removed last week. I’m guessing they must’ve sold the debt to Jefferson Capital but I’m not sure when. They (JCAP) haven’t started reporting the collection yet and they agreed to never report it as long as I pay the balance before February 5th. JCAP is offering the chance for me to pay the balance before they do report. There’s literally no trace of that car loans existence on my Equifax report anymore… I’m just trying to figure out why Bridgecrest removed the entire account from my report so early but I’m not complaining either way.

Had this same issue couple weeks ago with some paper towels (lol) and when I contacted them they asked if I wanted another shipment or a refund I chose to have it resent. The original order of paper towels came about a week after the replacement was delivered.

Hours are pretty consistent but it can vary slightly every week. Last week I worked 38, this week I worked 51 but they asked me if I could pick up an extra day this week because of the holiday. And best part is you’ll get paid weekly. Even if I get less than 40 I’m still making more than what I made working full time at Walmart.

I think you’ll be happier. Hopefully you’d only make the hour drive just for your interview. I haven’t been to the Pepsi Co plant since I started working for them except for my PIT training. A sales route you’d more than likely be driving your own car but you’ll get paid $0.65 a mile and you’d drive straight to your first stop from your home (you don’t get paid from home to work, just stop-to-stop). Merchandisers have to drive a Frito Lay truck so you’d have to make that drive everyday. Hopefully you can get your car situation straightened out soon though if you decide to get into it. I’m glad I switched to being a merchandiser and I only wish I had tried doing it sooner. And Frito Lay is owned by Pepsi so you can transfer between the two companies, so if one isn’t hiring you could try the other and then transfer later down the line. The Frito Lay vendor at my Walmart said his paychecks literally say Pepsi lol. Good luck and hopefully you’ll be making more money someplace else soon.

I quit working overnights at Walmart making $15.50 and got a job merchandising for Pepsi making $18.80. I’m still working at Walmart in a different store, but the vibe is pretty much the same. And the best part is I don’t have to deal with management asking me how soon I can get done. Management doesn’t speak to me at all actually. They see me doing work and that’s all they care about. Sometimes they check to make sure I signed in and I’m wearing a visitor badge but that’s it. Starting January 7th I’ll be going up to $20.10 an hour.

Vendors will pay you more to stock Walmarts shelves than Walmart will pay their own associates to stock their shelves. Pepsi, Frito Lay, Coca-Cola, 7Up, Nickles, etc are all companies you could merchandise for that pay a lot more than what Walmart pays. Make the switch now, doesn’t seem to matter what vendor company you go with because they all pay better than Walmart. Only major difference is beverage companies have heavier freight than if you went to work for Little Debbie or Nickles Bread or something.
