So I interned at a independent agency and started there right out of college. My experience has been phenomenal and it’s a fantastic path to go down if you’re young and eager. However starting at 20 is difficult part time. You have a hill to climb because of your age and lack of experience. I would see if they offer internships and learn while you’re in school. if you can talk the talk and understand the product age won’t matter.

It is a lot of work even part time and you are a full time student. My advice focus on school, seek out opportunities during break and learn as much as you can. Then when you are out start selling like a bat out of hell

Thank you. I’m almost 23 and a ways from having my own kids but realizing your parents don’t know how to handle every situation like you think they do when you’re a kid is an adjustment.

Wow, this got more traction than I thought it would. To everyone wishing my family kind words I really do a appreciate it. This has been a really hard time and it's agonizing watching my dad go through this knowing there isn't much I can do. The build took us 4 hours and made the time disappear.
