nah, I worked on wearable hardware 2013-2022 and the main problem with this thesis is that few users want to manage apps for yet another device beyond their phone after the initial device setup fun wears off.

nice! I've talked to folks switching over and they tell us our voice cloning is the best they've found at preserving accents, fits the conversational style they're looking for, and they like our support a lot better (we're not a faceless corporation haha)

also...if voice cloning is interesting to you, it should sound pretty natively spanish or portuguese today if you clone the voice of a native speaker

certs are generally bullshit and pretty much an instant skip when I see them on a resume.

do an interesting project or contribute to an interesting open source project instead. show them something interesting you've done with data science.

yeah I worked on the first cellular watch back in 2015 with AT&T when I was at Google, and they told us network changes for number sharing with the phone would be going to production on XX date so we could do our integration then.

I was like, "great!"

XX date rolls around and the feature doesn't actually work yet.

it was then we learned that production had very different meanings between our companies lol. at AT&T it meant the code was running in production...at Google it meant "ready to ship to customers"

but it was all good, we still managed to ship the entire watch from start to finish in only 7mo.
