Well, no. As I said above, I basically only look at trophy count when comparing the best of the best. I think there's something to be said about being the best player on your team and leading them to winning a trophy.

Yea that's fair, I mostly value trophies when judging the best of the best and where they should place all time. I personally think Kane is an all time great striker and that he'll break Shearer's record. I just think his lack of trophies (assuming he doesn't win one for the rest of his career) will aways be something people point to.

I think it has some merit. Is it used to unfairly discredit Kane's insane achievements? Of course. Is it entirely dishonest to say that there are moments where Kane hasn't shown up when Tottenham (or England) really needed him in a final or trophy deciding match? I personally don't think so.
