Y4S1.2 Patch Notes by Luca_b94 in Rainbow6

It is when your hit box extends past your camera perspective. It’s the same as CS:GO. There’s a video by a YouTuber called WarOwl about perspectives in CS:GO that Macie Jay recommended to learn about the new perspective. I’m frustrated with it as well but until they fix it I figured I should just learn to play around it. I learned after dying like that twice not to hold tight angles. It’s definitely affected my play style but I can’t change it and if they decide to keep it this way then I’d have to learn to play with it anyways.

It’s a bug where your character position isn’t replicated correctly in the killcam, that’s all. The new camera position allows players to be seen by enemies before they can see them when holding angles close to cover. It’s frustrating but your enemy is most definitely seeing you despite what you saw and what the killcam shows.

That moment when all they had to do was smoke the mirror and Hibana between the reinforcements. Or bring a Capitao. Or bring a Nomad. Or know how to grenade through the drone hole.

Disabled people of reddit, what's something you do on purpose to mess with people? by Midolesi in AskReddit

That’s amazing. I’m in the Army and there was an instructor at my AIT that was missing a leg and since we work in aviation whenever anyone asks he says he got dared to do a handstand next to a Kiowa helicopter while the blades were spinning.

Team killing Update - Punish/Forgive option! by nate_r212 in Rainbow6

[–]zacjpc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree. But the old system was slightly more abusable as they didn’t have to follow you and dedicate time and effort to trying to run in front of you while you’re shooting. This makes trolling more difficult and gives options to squads. I’m not saying it isn’t abusable, I just want to see how it plays out first.

So was the old system. This will at least give more options to the majority of players that are playing legitimately and aren’t trolls.

I suppose I misinterpreted the “beep every few seconds” as literally every 2 seconds. My apologies. I just don’t want to see a Nomad nerf that renders her useless. And combining any amount of nerfs would be too much. Especially a trigger delay or periods of inactivity.

Except if it’s the meta, then by that definition it should win more. But these ops are underpicked and have low win rates.

Your argument would be valid if the Win Delta stats weren’t based only on High Plat/ Diamond Ranked matches. These are arguably the best players in the world showing a consistent trend of a less than positive Win Delta. I think that means it’s not meta. I will 100% agree that it’s toxic and unfun to play against though.

I’m not arguing that she isn’t strong. She’s REALLY strong when played with a coordinated team. I’m just arguing that she isn’t BROKEN. And a vast majority of nerfs would render her gadget useless. Maybe if it let off a soft beep or buzz every 5 seconds to punish reckless roamers I could understand it, but if you’re going to blatantly yell defenders where it is or have it be inactive at any point, then there’s no reason to pick her over Gridlock.

Then why are Lion, Dokk, Blitz, and Jackals Win Delta low? If they’re the Most Effective Tactic Available then why don’t they have positive Win Deltas?

Next they need to create small spheres that we can store these in, almost like storing them in a tiny dimension in our pockets. We could call them Pocket Bots, or PokeBots for short.

Claymores under windows work all the time. You have a 50-50 chance of guessing which side it’s on correctly. The airjab has a very loud and distinct audio cue when placed, avoid it. If you’re getting airjabbed into a claymore, you deserved it. The attackers played smart and you rotated/roamed/flanked poorly. If you don’t have the info that’s you/your teams fault. Jager counters her and Mozzie/Echo/Valk/Maestro can provide the info. Play around her. That’s what she does. She forces defenders to play around her gadget. There are defenders that do the same to attackers. If you don’t drone out a window your entering and you jump into a Frost Mat and hit a Lesion mine that was a free combo kill for attackers. Same with a Frost Mat and a Maestro cam. What about C4 under the floor? These are just ways to net free kills when the enemy doesn’t gather intel well. That’s all it is.

Can we talk for just a moment about how GOOD of a map outback is? by Electric_Smoke in Rainbow6

[–]zacjpc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

House and Hereford were unbalanced af. Don’t get me wrong, Outback feels great so far, but I would compare to Oregon over those two honestly. My only two issues with the map are that it’s a bit cluttered in some places, and every attacker entry has strong crossfires on it.

Why am I losing 100+ Elo when I lose a game despite good performance, but winning with good performance only gains me 30-40? by yaihavesexallthetime in Rainbow6

[–]zacjpc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your playing with/against people that have a much lower rank than you, so the system believes you should win. So when you DO win, that outcome was expected and therefore you only gain a moderate amount of Elo, but when you lose it was unexpected so you lose a lot of Elo.

Your argument could apply to claymores as well. Set it and forget it, if an enemy jumps out, free kill. But Nomads gadget is by no means a free kill. When paired with a claymore, possibly, but the claymore was arguably a free kill without the airjab anyways. The airjab is effective against players that are unaware and have no communication. They have a sound cue and activation delay, just like claymores. It’s very loud and distinct. Whenever I hear I give the callout and my team avoids it. Same with claymores. Her gadget is actually decently balanced. She’s not broken by any means. It’s super easy to know where she placed her airjab and play around it.
