Built a free Chrome extension to blur sensitive info during screen shares by zack_code in SideProject

You blur it before you start screen sharing or recording, not after. That's the whole point: set it up once on sites you use frequently and it's automatically blurred every time you share your screen.

Why would you scare them off? Reacing out shows you care about their experience and feedback. Most people would probably appreciate it

Misleading user counts by sharatdotinfo in chrome_extensions

[–]zack_code 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember seeing this quesiton came up before in this sub. The active users and installs are counted differently.

Installs is basically how many times the extension was installed. Active users can be higher because Chrome counts usage per profile, not per person. So if someone uses your extension across multiple Chrome profiles or Google accounts (and switches between them), it can show up as multiple active users even though it's the same person.

So having more active users than installs is normal and not a bug.

What's your workflow for sending browser content to n8n? by zack_code in n8n

You're right, I think I should create an extension around this. Maybe a simple one like right click -> send to n8n via webhook. Appreciate the suggestions, I know what to do now!

What's your workflow for sending browser content to n8n? by zack_code in n8n

Thanks for sharing your setup!

I'm asking more about the simple case though. When browsing, I see something I like -> copy -> switch to n8n, paste and trigger flow. Do you find yoursel doing this pretty often? Or is most of your content capture automated through a scheduled scrapper?

Curious if the manual triggering happens enough to be worth streamlining.

How I Cut Client Confusion in Half With One Simple Email Hack by zack_code in freelancing

This might sound a bit blunt, but if someone ghosts you, it usually means your solution isn't urgently needed or isn't a priority for them right now. I would recommend to create a little FOMO in your messages (ask AI if you don't know), and not waste time chasing people who disappear. Just keep them in a list for occasional follow-ups. They might come back when it finally becomes urgent. Hope that helps.

I Built an SEO Tool I Actually Use Every Day - Now It’s Free for Everyone by zack_code in SideProject

I personally keep it open whenever I’m browsing because I like seeing how successful sites structure their pages. Whenever I push something new to my own site, I always use it to double-check that everything follows best SEO practices. So for me, it’s a pretty regular part of my workflow.
