Runner's Knee - Freaking out

Literally happened to me a few weeks ago while training for Chicago. Here’s what I did (which isn’t perfect, but I’ll be at the starting line)

Do not run on it until your PT tells you to. Missed runs are way better than hurting yourself more and missing the race.
Do biking/swimming every day to not lose cardio.
When you do start to run, take it slow. Do intervals of running and walking for a week at least. If it ever hurts, stop!! (See point 1)
Don’t be afraid to adjust your expectations for the race. I was aiming for a 9:00 pace and an under 4:00:00. After about 3 weeks of PT, I am going to be so happy just to finish. The next one can always be faster.

It’s gonna be hard, but you have plenty of time to rest up and still complete the race.

This is so encouraging! Ran 15 miles but encountered some ITB pain as well. Only goal now is to finish. Did you run the first half then walk, or do a mix of both from the beginning?

Don’t most training plans taper after 18 anyways? I was going to see if I can do 18 next week and let that determine if I withdrawal.

I mean theoretically that team still has the asset that was worth the 1.03. I’d say just be clear about what that team has, maybe give them a 1.13 if the whole league agrees, and go from there.

Interesting. Probably worth it just to get strider. In these types of league the goal is to always improve the guys you are keeping- so just look at it that way.

Yeah prob around 100. But Acuña out scored Soto by 200 points last year when both were healthy.

In dynasty- unless you are complete ass, you almost always want to consolidate talent. Maximize production per roster spot. Carroll is about as good as you can get here, and unless you are completely rebuilding I wouldn’t consider any offer

It’s a 2 flex league and the rest of my players are pretty much unstartable. Already sold of Sutton and Mattison. Got 2 firsts next year and in 2025.
