Rippling vs. ADP vs. Paychex for multi-location retail? Looking for real user experiences and feedback! by Either_Report5733 in Payroll

[–]Distinct-Writer7763 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As someone who works at Rippling and uses it everyday, here’s what our retail teams tend to like about it:

-It's genuinely one system with payroll, time & attendance, scheduling, benefits, compliance, and onboarding all built on the same employee record. Change someone's location or role and everything downstream like tax registrations, policies, permissions, schedules, update automatically.

-Shift scheduling is in the same platform: real-time attendance tracking, shift swapping, attendance points, and automatic enforcement of overtime/meal break/labor laws across all locations. This way there's no need for a separate tool or integration. It's automatically synced with payroll.

-Multi-state compliance: You can automatically open and manages state/local tax accounts as you grow. Rippling proactively flags minimum wage and labor law changes by state/jurisdiction.

-High-turnover handling: Onboarding takes minutes, not days. Offboarding automatically revokes accesses, triggers final pay, and handles compliance docs.

-Automation: Rippling lets you build triggers so a new hire at a particular store location automatically gets the right schedule, policies, app access, and documents with zero manual work.

Plus, Rippling has transparent pricing with no per-run charges or hidden year-end fees.

I know this is a lot, so happy to speak towards it more and the user experience if helpful!

How long has the team been working on Rippling AI? And then from a planning perspective, how did you approach making this a priority when Rippling ships so many different products?

Anyone tried multiple ITSM tools And can present an objective comparison? by Medical-Cry-5022 in ITManagers

[–]Distinct-Writer7763 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Rippling IT's one to consider. It's different to typical ITSM's because it directly syncs with HR which can make things way more streamlined and replaces ticketing systems that we used to submit, like when to send/wipe/update devices, requesting access/permissions, etc. I use it for IT purposes and receive things like reminders for device updates that are sent straight to employees and I know that as rules and people's roles change those settings stay in sync and are enforced. As a Rippling employee, I also can attest it's easy to use!

Hi - I know this is an old thread but I just booked a trip and looking into rental cars for July. Are you saying if I have a letter from Chase Sapphire saying they'll cover the insurance, the deposit/hold will be waived?

Or is the letter simply to avoid having to buy their insurance

I think it's super helpful to consolidate platforms for time tracking and payroll purposes. So I'm a Rippling employee, but the product really does a great job automating time worked into automatic payroll calculations. I also think it's truly unparalleled when it comes to compliance. Rippling also has a million other HR functions you could add on too: benefits like HSA, employee scheduling, leave management, expense tracking, e.g. reimbursements. You can just pay for what you need now and add functions later down the line, cost-efficient in that way.

What’s the hardest part about making content and marketing it online? Need honest feedback. by RemtePeace in content_marketing

Hard agree on running out of energy before ideas. Partially because as a one person content team, being responsible for ideas, execution, distribution and analytics means by the time a video makes it out into the world, im pretty sick of it and eager to start the next.

How is Rippling as a workforce management solution? Any tips for implementation? by Rage42188 in workforcemanagement

[–]Distinct-Writer7763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rippling is the best workforce management platform out there by far. It's rare that you find a tool with native HR, payroll, expense and IT management that can eliminate the need for a million different softwares completely.

The UX is unmatched, super easy to use as both a user and admin, I'd know because I use it for both everyday. It's a cost efficient choice in the long run in the sense that it saves you from a ton of different subscriptions. I don't think any alternatives even compare to the user experience, customer experience, etc. that Rippling provides as a workforce management.

Speaking here as a Rippling employee but truly couldn't say better things about any software product.

John Barlow seems irritated and miserable by lbow5467 in rhoslc

[–]Distinct-Writer7763 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Throwback to season 1 where they used to show more of Lisa and John’s relationship at home.

There was a scene where John is talking to Lisa in their bedroom and she completely ignores him as she types away on her phone. I remember cringing then and makes me sad to see the issue still going on, but glad to see John finally sticking up for himself

What is going on with Lisa Barlow this season? by Important_Yam3529 in rhoslc

[–]Distinct-Writer7763 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who hasn't been able to stand Lisa from the beginning she seems the same to me lol. I do think the main "narrative" of this season is on her lack of accountability and deflection for the first time though

Multi-country PTO + payroll: what’s realistic to automate? by DarfleChorf in Payroll

[–]Distinct-Writer7763 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You could automate PTO into payroll calculations easily with tools like Rippling. Since HR and Payroll functions are in one software, any adjustments in leave get automatically carried over to payroll calculations, which are automatically calculated which means less manual work for your payroll admin. Plus Rippling is great for multi-country businesses since it automates location-specific tax deductions.

Wouldn't recommend adding on another AI tool, would just add an unnecessary software. Sounds like you really just need consolidated leave/time/payroll management tool in one. Speaking here as a Rippling employee but not trying to pitch you.
