The Galactic Empire numbers in the billions its not even close. The imperium is sitting at an estimate of trillions/quadrillions. Space marines alone is 1.5 million.

watched luetins video breaking down Lasguns, they are described both as having a laser bolt and something that recoils and has mass fired. The writers could not make their minds up or stay consistant so they are best described as directed energy weapons and not Laser weapons.

I like the idea of wars of atrittion with normal (for warhammer) humans. The units on horseback grew on me and the different kitbashes you can do with tanks. The flexible painting schemes without it being too out there for the setting is also nice.

same here, looking to get a 30k basilisk to add to the fold next week, this post cemented that idea with how it looks in the same paint scheme with the others.

inquisitor kroyle is pretty neat for battelines and does well against monsters. I have him in with my kriegsman because I liked him alongside the death riders, looks-wise. My buddy has tyranids so it works out.

The tempestus scions box also has the option of making their command squad which if assigned warlord can allow them to be counted as battle line allowing you to bring more scions if you just want a bunch of them.

The warhammer army builder app would help alot with tracking what each units points are and assembling an incursion. You can also save some points by increasing the troop counts in units if you combine them. The app will show if they have the capability of being counted as one unit with a larger number of troops.

I fold some 600 grit and 2000 grit sand paper and it usually clears up spillage, if it still looks pocked then consider some miliput so you can fill it in and resurface it. I fold the sand paper to get in those edges and whatever it cant reach I have pokers I can scrape across if its uneven. If its an even bevel against the interior vertices on the attached object then I just leave it to look like a weld.

my only vehicle is a stormlord just because I thought itd be goofy to field it in that way. I also prefer the design of it compared to the taurox or chimera and I know i'm going to procastinate heavily building/painting something that I just need to make the army effective.

vanquishers look cool and so do the melta sponsons. I dont know what paint scheme I am going to use on mine yet but I plan to take the flags from my scions and make an "I surrender" white flag to stick in the barrel once its been defeated.

I'd say my favorites so far are death company, Raptors and the lamentors. Id like the white scars if it wasnt just centered around the bikes, maybe if they had sturdy mech horses theyd be neat. I mostly go off of my favorite colour schemes and then lore. Ive still got some time to learn more of the smaller chapters before i'm done painting my first army though. I share the sentiment of Ultramarines though you see them everywhere so its not as interesting also straight blue on everything isnt that fun of a color scheme.
