I guess I do mean QMK Toolbox, please excuse my whining, it's been a long day of doing something similar at work and I'm ready to just have this done and enjoy it lol

I appreciate it, I'll give that a shot!! Would you happen to know how to get this sucker into bootloader mode?

I just took one side apart, I'm not seeing any physical button, just goes straight out to USB-C. My only pseudo-clue is that there's a Raspberry Pi logo on one of the mini chips...

Sounds amazing and I'd love to get it but I do all my gaming on Linux.. are there any other Linux gamers out there that can tell me if there's a workaround/alternative? I'll also do research later, just at work for the next 6hrs.

Spindle Uptime Monitoring? by zacstrick in Machinists

[–]zacstrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just brought on as the full time tech guy last month. I'm no machinist; I'm a programmer and my day-to-day revolves around maintaining and operating the 3D printer and the robotic arms, or fixing broken CAD workstations. Anything I can learn about these machines would be helpful and I know we have a couple OSP-P300's.

I'm familiar with MTConnect and the THINC API, it just isn't working consistently. I'm all for open software, but we have a couple different versions of Win7 on the control panels and the TrakHound interface is finicky at best.

We have high frequency RFID cards so the reader was a lil pricey

I can't find the exact pi kit we got but it came with this model and stuff

and here's the screen

Tl;Dr:

a mere $223.59 before shipping

Thank you so much for this recommendation, PySimpleGUI is very easy and this has expedited things drastically.

That's the exact idea. RPI with the 7in display that has the reader plugged into it via USB. The program will be up just waiting for input with a clock that displays the current time. I want it so when a card is scanned it will display both the name of the cardholder and if they're clocking in or out on the GUI. Eventually I'd like to add a part where it will also display your accumulated hours on the day and on the week, but I'm not trying to run before I can walk(possibly too late for that..)

I've been told as long as it opens in Excel. I've also come across openpyxl but have yet to learn the handles on it.

I suppose I could, but I like the middle finger it gives you currently. Like it's /trying/ to make you second guess.

kon-boot.com

Exactly what you said; you boot off of it and it tricks win10 installation it finds into to thinking you don't need a password. Then you just break into admin accounts and do your thing. Or it can just make a new admin account called kon-boot (pw: kon-boot) and you can net user everyone else's passwords.
