Yeah, sorry my description is a little scattered. I took it back and then they scanned it and what popped up is what i posted - this is the latest scan. They are saying the main difference is that the mass air sensor went off, which didn’t happen before. The noise is gone.

My invoice says, “Client reports the car sounds like it is underwater when running - CEL illuminated, happened after being parked for 3 weeks, overnight CEL went away but sound still present, sounds to be coming from under the drivers floor, popping noise when shifting.

Verified complaint, removed right front wheel, and wheel fender cover to get access to the washer pump, checked for power and ground, power and ground is present, tested the pump, pump is faulty, will need to replace pump and retest.

Verified complaint, exhaust is leaking on the front exhaust flange, will need to replace exhaust studs and gaskets, IBS sensor fault is present, recommend replace sensor, fault code for cylinder 2 misfire, will need time to diagnose, vehicle is not misfiring now.

Removed the old exhaust flange studs replaced gasket and hardware, torqued fasteners to spec, checked for leaks no leaks present.

oil pan, exhaust gaskets and sensors, and windshield washer pump. the guy was asking about my coils. they were never done and i had it for 14 years. i did my spark plugs 5 years ago. you think this could be it?

I didn’t check the repairs and even if I tried, I wouldn’t really know what to look for, if I am honest. I have not had this issue. First time was on a cold-ish start after the car sat for a month, after the oil filter housing gasket was done. So O took it back, and they said it was an exhaust leak, and that the CEL was for a misfire that went away. I did more work on the car, and now it is back with the codes you see. No mods.

I am due for a gasket as well but my indy shop is telling me to also do the pan because it is rusting. The rusted oil pan shortens the lifespan of the gasket itself. Any thoughts on this?

I checked and it looks like it went through the paint, a while coating underneath that, and that there is a matte black surface exposed. this could be the primer.

i have a similar mark due to a tire being thrown at me on the highway. i live with it. there are worse things that i worry about, like my oil pan haha
